I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed that it's a cross Gen title. I'm sure it will look and play amazing, but leave last Gen behind guys. It's disappointing that each Gen lasts like 2 years past the time it ends. The delay was to be expected though.

I think no matter what Xbox is fighting a super uphill battle. Last Gen was a big deciding factor in a lot of things. It was the first time gamers really went full digital. I only buy digital and I have movies and other stuff I bought digitally on psn. If I switched to Xbox I lose it all. Last Gen a ton of people switched to ps4 due to the botched launched, lack of focus and exclusives, weaker console, the list goes on. But beause a lot of them also want ps5s, it's telling.
Most likely. It's way more profitable that way. The bigger studios have way more weight than some of the smaller ones.
I hope they do a full middle earth nemisis style game with more races.

I think a lot of gamers are gonna be cautious of anything else this studio releases. They need a Sean Murray style of content releases to try to redeem themselves.
The problem was the game wasn't what was promised. The reason why is most likely due to it being clearly down scaled, like multiple times in gameplay trailers and videos before release and on release for it to launch on last Gen. Last Gen forced the devs to down scale everything, so the game was a broken, buggy mess that had a ton of issues. I havnt played it myself, but I've seen tons of videos of it basically being another fallout 76 type of launch.
I'm the same way. I was gonna pre-order, but I decided not too luckily and then after the fiasco I decided if I did get it, it would be after the ps5 version officially launches.
I hope this ends up like this. Some of these studios would be destroyed in the wrong hands.

I don't want it either, but Microsoft paid for zenimax for Xbox so they can compete against the top platform. This is the top platform swinging back. Last Gen was playstation beating the hell out of Xbox due to them not having a real plan on what they wanted. Now that they have a plan to go with gamepass aggressively, playstation has to be aggressive back.

@razzer it was a forced microphone and camera that you had to connect and couldn't turn off or have the internet off or the box was a brick. No games, even disc's wouldn't work especially becuase they were pushing DRM so no game sharing or offline games at all.

Idk, I pre-ordered the game, but I havnt booted it up yet myself. I heard the previews talking about crashing and bugged doors and stuff so I just said I'd wait a few weeks and still havnt touched it. I'm sure other people havnt either though because of all the hubub of save files and all that. I just didn't want to deal with crashes on a game with no saves.
Possibly, but I still think mid Gen upgrades will happen because Sony and Microsoft couldn't afford it if the competition drops one in a few years and they have nothing to show. At the very least they are being worked on and might not release, but I doubt either of them will just do nothing.
