Agreed. Variety might be the biggest. As long as they mix it up with story and traversal sequences I think it'll be fine.
Yes. Ancient treasure turns to curse turns to dramatic moment turns to happy ending. Rinse and repeat. Can't you tell how original it is.
Story is not the strong suit for uncharted. It's the voice acting and set pieces.

Any game can be an epic fail. Remedys games have all been good. Based on that track record there is no reason to think this game would fail...

Games are not broken but reviews most certainly are.
Then again reviews have the challenging problem of how to differentitate small budgets versus big budgets games and expectations.
