There's no bar set generation after generation. A fun game is timeless.

Ugly indies sundered absolutely beautiful as well as better than those games you listed. I'm also the same age and play way way more games than that. I average probably a game a week
@ace_pheonix all hardware and software has a high probability to eventually expire. Even the pc might be one day incompatible with everything now we consider necessary.
Besides that some people just care about games and not graphics. My pc is used for work and other things I prefer multiplats on ps4.
The real reason you get a pc is for Starcraft, civilization games that utilize the mouse and keyboard to best effects for great gameplay
Most of the more mature gamers play Mario, Zelda, splatoon etc.
The kids are playing cod and stuff and don't appreciate game design yet. Adults love Nintendo because they make excellent games and we have seen it throughout generations without fail. Sure there is the casual adult gamers that just play the big shooter titles or gta5 but the hardcore will buy multiple systems and tend to like Nintendo games.

Well it more than just high difficulty mode and put some scalers on. Mechanics changed. Which is not present in either of those games. The dlc also added new gear, and the main meat of it the trial of the sword.
Also it was only 20$ for 2 dlcs. 1 of which is supposed to be more of an expansion. Relatively fair in comparisons to the witchers 20$ dlc
It at the very least unlocks content in the games they appear in. They have too many amibos now to have custom content for every amibo.
Plus me personally and most people just buy it to collect them. The content is just the bonus. Just like those collectible pop figurines, that's how I purchase them. I bought elm and celica for 60$ from a scalper even knowing that I didn't have a new 3ds and I have no way of using them
Metroid trilogy to this date is my favourite fps franchise. They can take 5 years like Zelda did if we will have an evolution such as that.
