@Concertoine

Thank you for defending me. Actually this is not about me. My comment is, maybe a sort o warning for people who are being overly hyped by this game and they could be severely disappointed.

How do I know this new version is the same? Because there have been TRILLIONS of games based on the DW engine, gameplay style,etc and all of them are the same. Just because it has a Nintendo license that does not mean it will be different. Why? Because it will...

Oh yeah, the multiplayer one. It's fun I also have it. I suggest you try Lament Of Innocence. You can find it in the PS2 classics in PS Store.

That is the only game in 3D I believe is worthy of being called a 3D old school Castlevania.

I do love Lords Of Shadows, but to me it is simply different and I enjoy it because of it.

You mean Harmony Of Dissonance? (the GBA one?)

Lords of Shadows is a reboot. They maintain most of the core lore, but the game was intended to be a completely different take on Castlevania.

In that sense, you (and many other) misunderstood the game and the term: "reboot".

WiiU has been out for a WHOLE year. So your point doesn't make sense at all.

If you are going to "attempt" to troll, at least try to inform yourself.

@Concertoine

Yes, but my point is that, everyone is overly hyped for a game that, quite frankly, has been out for years and years and it is an O.K game, however, now that they plastered the "Zelda" name in it, everyone is talking about it like it is a reason to buy the console.

Just as I would never buy a console for Dynasty Warriors, I would never buy a WiiU for this game. Everyone is automatically giving the game a 10 or something. Nintendo is not...

On the contrary, I see a hell of a lot of hate for the game because it was not an "Old" Castlevania.

What it did, it did it good. I'm also a huge '
Vania fan and I liked Lords Of Shadows, although I prefer Lament Of Innocence a lot more, but I have high expectations for this sequel. It seems to be a sort of hybrid between Darksiders and Castlevania.

Why is everybody listing Hyrule Warriors as a sort of "gem" or "big selling game"? It's not even out and quite frankly the Dynasty Warriors games are generic and barely reach a semi-high standard. Millions of DW games just pass by every year, but now that it has the Zelda name, then it is suddenly worthy of attention and praise?

I do understand people who love DW games, they will enjoy the spinoff, but we shouldn't be expecting something mindblowin...

You sir just shaked the very foundations of my beliefs!

How am I supposed to go against Jenova now?

I swear I've tried to use the Omnislash when I'm slicing bread or vegetables but my mana never refills.

It kinda looks like a mixed between Darksiders and Castlevania, which, would be effin' awesome if true.

I really liked Lords Of Shadow, but to me it is closer to Dante's Inferno than God Of War. The GoW influence is obvious,but they had their own thing going on.

@Maniacmayhem

Lament Of Innocence didn't get murdered in reviews. It actually has pretty high reviews all across the board with 9's on most sites. To me, that is the only real Oldschool 3d Castlevania.

I do love Lords Of Shadow though.

PS1 and PS2 ports added some filters in the PS3 menu, but the difference is not that big if you compare it to full HD remakes like God Of War or MGS Collection.

Most likely won't be upscaled. They would have to work in all those games to make the textures and everything in HD and that would be completely impossible (remaking all PS1 and PS2 games in HD).

Most likely it will be presented the same way they were presented in PS3 when you buy one of them.

It's because, if you completed Demon's Souls and then played Dark Souls, you already knew how to approach it. Demon's Souls seems harder because no one knew what to expect, where to go or how to approach a lot of the challenges, but by the time Dark Souls 1 came out, most of us knew how to approach the challenges, areas and we already had some sort of strategy coming from Demon's Souls

I have no doubts in my mind that DS2 will be a great adventure as well. I d...

I don't understand why people asume that "Now" = Backwards Compatibility. Where does it say that it is BC?

Everyone said that it is a rental/subscription based service so we can play games in several hardware.

Nothing at all. It was pretty standard. The title was just hit-seeking

I agree. Part of the fun is the "verticality" shown in trailers. If the mechs will start the match destroying all buildings, then what will be the point of the parkour styled gameplay?

Plus, I think being able to destroy the builds will make the mechs overpowered.

People forget that Sony is not a videogame company only. CES is for pretty much everything else that they manufacture. Video games may take part, but CES is the place to show the advancements in the other tech areas. For video games we have E3, TGS, etc
