To me, out of the portable ones, Ghost Of Sparta is waaaay better than Chains Of Olympus.
That's not what I said. Regardless of the game's story, we should learn to accept the deaths of the characters when they happen and stop asking to revive them.
Even if the sacrifice was pointless, Cole died believing he did the right thing and he saved the conduits and humans at the same time, he died a hero. Even if years laters, threats are still appearing, he did what was needed, so it doesn't make his sacrifice less significant.
If graphics are not important, then should the developers stop trying to advance the technology to achieve new things?Should we game with PS1 graphics on our WiiU, PS4, XboxOne?
Graphics are not just pretty images, they are advancements in Technology as well. A lot of games that you guys are saying that they "look bad" actually were groundbreaking when they came out
Please don't revive Cole. We have to learn to let go. Reviving him will defeat the purpose of the ending in Infamous 2. If he stays dead, the impact will be greater. It was incredibly "ballsy" of Sucker Punch to kill him in Infamous 2 and that left a longstanding mark in gaming, so please...don't erase it.
Muramasa is sooo good, that even if they are giving it away, I will buy the Collector's edition to support Vanillaware
If you have PS Plus, you don't need that. You have your copy in the cloud folder.
THIS is a game that can exploit the gamepad. Forget everything else, this particular game and with the right direction, has the potential of being the best horror game.
Your 4th paragraph summarize my thoughts. The existence of the Ring of Life Protection lowers the difficulty of the game A LOT. You don't have to spend your effigies to revive and get your life back, just use this ring and IF you die, you don't lose anything. Just farm 3000 souls and fix it.
This is not even close to being similar to what Capcom does with Street Fighter IV.
Street Fighter IV is an infinite game. You can play the game endlessly, what they provide are updates for the same game, however, people can't seem to understand the concept.
You can have Street Fighter IV and update up to Ultra by paying $15.00 OR you can buy Ultra for full price if you don't have any of the games. This is what the fighting community wants because Str...
What I would like to see is decent IA and engaging combat.
This game is faaaaar too easy (on highest difficulty) and the use of firearms is unnecessary entirely. You can resolve all situations with your bow. The IA is a disgrace: you shoot a bad guy and he comes running towards you and hide behind a tree that's right next to you. They are basically cannon fodder, then you get the guys with the shields and all you have to do is press dodge, then attack and they are done. ...
I don't agree. Other MGS have silly and over-the-top cutscenes as well. The jumping on missile thing was over-the-top, but, a guy fighting a frickin Helicopter and winning isn't? How about dodging a cannon bullet from the tank?
There are scenes where the feeling is also enhanced, like when Gray Fox dies or the corridor when he kills the soldiers.
I guess we have to agree to disagree.
Twin Snakes and Aliens Vs Predator should not be on the list. Twins Snakes is AWESOME and Aliens Vs Predator was decent enough. I bet they just added Twin Snake as a shock factor to get clicks. They are nowhere near the terrible quality of the other ones. SimCity, despite the always-online debacle wasn't that bad either
I'm afraid the hype may harm the game.
Let me explain: I know they can deliver an amazing experience. They have the background to prove it (ICO & Shadow Of The Colossus), but the sudden disappearance of the game is creating a lot of anxiety in all gamers and anxiety is never a good thing, expectations and hate are blown out of proportion when people are anxious.
I wouldn't recommend it on consoles. This is a handheld game through and through. I have it on my PS Vita and I could excuse some things because it was a handheld game, but as a console game, well no...
I ADORE exploration games and backtracking and this game has a lot of that, however, I can see how it can be boring and repetitive to some people.
Well to me it has been faaar easier than the last 2. I'm 35hrs in the game and have 8 + 2 Estus Flasks and I barely use them. I have tons of healing items that I don't need to use because pratically no enemy can harm me. Plus, the Ring Of Life Protection just makes the use of Human Effigies meaningless.
I always thought that they asked Sonic to use a Kart to keep it fair because he will beat everyone on foot all the time :P
The Ring Of Protection isn't available at the beginning I believe (or is it?). There's plenty Effigies and life gems to get at the beginning to not worry about the penalties of dying, however, I feel that the game is easier because of the abundance of bonfires. Kind of what made it harder in the last games was that the distance between bonfires was considerable. While traversing areas with tough enemies, sometimes you were unable to decide if it was better to go forward or to just ret...
Funny, because I feel this game is actually easier. There are plenty bonfires, and I've found like 3 pieces to reinforce the estus flask without any effort. My effigies and life gems are never under 10 in my inventory and today I killed the Lost Giant (first try) and The Pursuer (like 4th attempt) which didn't feel thaaat hard.
I'm about 4/4:30 hrs in the game, so I expect it to get harder, but so far, it doesn't. I'm enjoying it a lot, but I don't see...
These "Why I won't Buy...." articles are the worst. I mean, to be honest... who cares? Is like they are trying to convince people not to buy something.
I will write an article titled: Why I will never read your "Why I won't Buy...." articles.
Agreed on everything. I may also add the "laziness" (or I don't really know what it is) of Nintendo of not adding online support to their games to improve the community. They always think about "same-couch multiplayer" but, many of us would have loved to see online coop in Both mario games, Luigi U, Donkey Kong, etc.
It's not like adding online coop functionality will ruin the game or make the game less enjoyable, it is expanding the possibilities ...
