They did it with the 3DS. So what's your point?
Their lineup for the rest of the year is pretty weak (at least until december) and with the new consoles coming, their current price is too high for last gen technology.
I buy games primarily to be immersed in a cool world and experience a great story, not to play with others a part of a game that is mostly competitive and doesn't tell me anything.
I'm pretty sure both Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall will be on PS4, maybe a year later.
Which is great because I will be able to take a lot of the Battlefield 4 juice and will get a good/new arcade-y shooter if I want to slow down the BF4 pace.
With all these new FPS's with cool and new ideas COD: Ghost seems more and more pathetic, bland and boring.
They should focus on fighting against piracy, not screwing up the people who is buying their products legit.
If you want more money, go multiplatform then.

Crack is a hell of a drug. A family friendly version of Bayonetta and the Awesome looking game from Monolith aren't even close to any of the next gen games showed by Microsoft or Sony.

You do have to play PS + to be able to play Planetside and DCU. It's the same as Xbox Liv Gold. The difference is that DCU and Planetside 2 don't charge any monthly/yearly fee like WOW.
DCU is currently Free to play in PSN, meaning, ZERO charges at all and you can get it even if you dont have PS Plus
Not being greedy? You have to pay to play online. We have been critizicing this same thing throughout the entire current gen. We have been labeling this same behavior as greedy and suddenly it is not?
I've supported Sony and the PS3 since launch, through fire and flames but this was a total backstab and I feel betrayed.
Supporting the "pay to play online" model is as bad as supporting the DRM used in the Xbox One.

There was subtle amounts of gameplay within the shots. Pay attention to the trailer. You can see some combat in there.
Origins is the most original platformer released this generation. It tanks pretty much all the classics in art style, music, originality, etc. Maybe just Super Mario 3D Land is as good as Rayman Origins, but all the other 2D platformers just bow down to Origins.
Agreed. The only time when Ghost felt somewhat next-gen, was when they zoomed in on the models, but during the reveal trailer, it looked just slightly better than MW3, whilst BF4 looked gorgeous from start to finish with A TON of stuff happening. I know it was PC, but that should be the standard to be judged. I know the PS4 and Xbox One will be capable of running BF4 close to what was shown. BF3 is miles away better looking on PC, but BF3 is still gorgeous to look at in consoles.
Battlefield 4 gameplay looks way better than COD: Ghosts CGI cutscenes. That's actually really funny and pathetic at the same time. I do like COD, i have fun with it, but I've felt really cheated with this last game. Doesn't feel next gen (unlike BF4).

If these Dynamics maps are user-triggered, COD will be a more campfest that already is.
What I saw (in game cinematics) looked like something the PS3 and 360 could actually play.
Battlefield 4, Destiny and Killzone are MILLIONS OF MILES ahead of COD in terms of actual gameplay visuals.
Sleeping dogs is WAAAY better than GTA4. Story, action and fighting mechanics are superior in every possible way.

I was really pissed off about the online thing. I know PS Plus is worth it. I'm willing to pay $100 for a year in order to keep online free, because I know, even if I pay $100 I will get the $100 back within the first 2-3 months.
