Sorry but they are not gonna catch the DS, and more than likely not the WII either. Not in 08 at least.
Considering the little we know about the story line it might be culture sensitive and that takes a long time to get around. It's not like they haven't ever had PS3 delays before (Ghost Recon, R6 Vegas) but only in one country? Maybe they will try to throw in a bundle deal or something?
As someone who has actually worked at a Gamestop (three years to be precise). I see it both ways. I for one never trade anything in unless I will NEVER play it again, I hate the pathetic amount you get for trades. However on the other hand why should Gamestop pay a premium price when everyone is trading in last years Madden for the new one when we already have 70 used copies? In fact I went in my old store yesterday and they are actually destroying hundreds of games $2 and under to make room ...
It's mainly for the friends list and having things like private chat and the like, plus if you compare the amount of free content over all three networks it becomes painfuly obvious which has by far the most. I mean you get free TV shows over live all the time (wether you pay or not for live) and that comes from those of us that do pay for the service. I've honestly payed $200 dollars for my 4 years on live and haven't regreted it in the least, then again I'm online every night (I generaly ge...
that's a tough one Close Second. I really don't think that PSN or Xbox Live has much to do with that but I could be wrong. Mainly depends on your internet source IMO. Certain ISP's have trouble communicating with one another, I'm in the States and have had no lag with my friend in Ireland but me and my buddy across the street can hardly play together because of his/my ISP.
If you can only get 1 of the following; Haze, UT3, CoD4, or Uncharted the choice should be pretty easy. UT3 simply because EVERY kill is satisfying! CoD4 and Haze are pretty much tied (and I know I'm going to loose bubbles for this) but Uncharted is just too slow in comparison to the other 3 to be a strong contender as an action game. Then again I mainly play FPS's so take that into consideration and you'll realize why UT3 is so high on my list (If you haven't played Unreal Liandri Conflict f...
Thank you! Someone finaly mentioned FarCry, but the cover system reminds me far more of Killswitch than Gears. Mainly because in gears the camera was closer to you when you were behind cover to make you rely more on your alies, in Killswitch it panned out farther because you were all alone...
Ubisoft and Epic have both reported having problems developing for the PS3. Remember R6 Vegas, and all those reports of the unreal 3 engine not running properly? They did fix it by spending quality time with the system, but EA is not the only dpublisher/developer having problems with the PS3's technology.
Hope you haven't "harvested" any little sisters so you can get the real ending...
Snakeat why did you leave out Atari. Sony and Sega got in the game a little late if you ask me, when gaming was getting popular. Nintendo and Atari were the ones that hung there balls out there and risked all and brought us everything we know today. Sega, Sony, and even Microsoft refined it (Blizzard as well considering the popularity of WoW and Starcraft) making it the cool thing to do.
"Developers already can look the 360's first two years of sales with big hitting franchises and realize its not selling very well." You must have missed the story about how 50% of EA's revenue came from the 360. It's ok you just need to catch up.
Even if the PS3 had an atach rate of 7 you still have to consider that the 360 has sold over twice as many consoles. So if the 360 also had a 7 that means it has sold twice as many games. But at the same time you have to think of the attach rate for BD movies (which would be nearly impossible) because those add to the profitability of the system. But considering that EA is the largest game publisher in the world right now this isn't good (not that I'm a fan of them myself).
Actually it was crashing consoles and that is why they locked it, can't YOU people read?
First they take away all the good import sites to Europe and now this. Next they'll start charging by the minute to play games in Europe...
I have to agree with you, I can hardly seeing this being a casual gamers game. Coming out against AC, CoD4, and Rachet was a mistake IMO. More than likely it will have a sequal and it will be marketed better.
EA might own some great developers (DICE, Criterion) but they suck themselves IMHO, how else can they charge $60 for the same sports game every year? But I get C&C from them so I have to keep them happy or they'll take it away...
Mart if your saying that both consoles are hooked up with what they came with then the PS3 isn't using HDMI because you have to buy that seperate. It's impossible to tell really because these videos aren't in HD, but on the other hand who cares? Really if one has more acorns than the other you wont notice because your playing your version...
Is that why the PS3 hasn't even sold half that of 360 or WII. Oh that's right Sony is only shipping 25000 a week to give the competition a head start... That would explain it alright... You can give me the best toilet in the world but it's still ful of s#it.
I like how you say this about a game that broke every entertainment record to date. We're not just talking in the gaming industry but the entire entertainment industry. And while 500k might not seem like a lot, remember that 30% of those 10million consoles sold are playing this game right now. You need to play some WoW and learn some scocial skills...
That's why they have fewer and fewer features, why can't they just have PS3 built to order like they said they would do?
