Wow this site is turning to crap. Who the hell approves these stories. Look 'whoever you are', go cry in a corner because you bought your HD DVD player and now it's a piece of junk. No one really expected the sales to skyrocket and if you actually paid attention, sites like CNET even said it would be an uphill battle even after Blu-Ray won because they'd have to deal with the declining prices, players, etc.
ok, so like 3 of those sites I had never even heard of until reading that article and I'm sure you can guess which 3 they are. But, one thing I find funny is that he calls the Sony site a biased site and by the name of the site I'm going to agree with him (remember: I've never even heard of that site, nor been to it). So, I'm sure it's a super bias Sony site. But, obviously the editor has a little bit of bias towards the Wii and it's very apparent in the article. He specifically states "...
I don't recall which developer said the Wii is like a virus, but I remember his comment and I agree wholeheartedly. It's got so much hype that one person buys it, loves it so much right away, recommends it to a friend and then they buy it. But, in between the second friend buying it, the first friend got bored and stopped playing it.
I own a wii and besides SSMB, my Wii started collecting dust pretty fast, but not before I recommended some friends to get it and they followed th...
Ok, so I've read like the first few posts and really, this site makes me laugh sometimes. "PS3 is better!" "360 is better!" "OMG the PS3 isn't superior because a multiplatform game runs better on 360!"
First off, half of the people that post in these threads are retarded. I'm sorry, but you are. Second, if you think ANY console is inferior because of a multiplatform game, then you are REALLY retarded. Yes, because I'm sure the laziness of one devel...
80gb, working fine, no problems.
DoubleD305,
I was having an AIM conversation with the author of this article (good friend of mine) and we sort of came across something during our conversation. First off, let me start off by saying that both him and I are on different sides of the fence. While I own all 3 consoles, I definitely gravitate towards the PS3 and I have my reasons. But, we did notice one thing when it comes to fans of consoles and what they spew it.
Last generation, it was Xbox fans that wer...
I think I speak for everyone when I say the following:
I just want to play the damn beta Konami. Who's leg do I have to hump for you guys to speed up the beta process and get us online?
In the US, I think the 360 will no doubt outsell the PS3 version, but that has more to do with install base than anything else. There simply are more 360 owners than PS3 at this stage. On the other side of the fence, though, I think the PS3 will benefit more from the game. While the 360 may sell more copies, I think the PS3 will sell more consoles as a result of the game. So, while sales of the PS3 might be a little less than the 360, Sony will make up a little ground as a result of the game...
ROFL I haven't visited GameDaily pretty much since they launched years back up until now. They were bias then and are still bias now. Their editors are mostly young adults (18-21 year olds) despite the fact that they try to come off as being older and are pretty retarded to boot. I ran into a couple of these guys at E3 back in the day and they were busting nut at the Nintendo at Microsoft booth. Don't think I ever saw them at Sony booth at all and I've never heard so many "OMG! THATS SO...
So, I'm looking over the tech demo and no offense to those guys, but if that Tech Demo is suppose to be an indication of what the engine is COMPLETELY capable of, then they missed the mark of achieving PS3/360 graphics by a mile. Granted, the engine looks like it could definitely improve Wii game graphics by a milestone, but still not in the same league as a PS3/360.
ROFL! That's pretty damn impressive. I went ahead and just kept refreshing the results page and there sure is a script running on this. About every refresh I saw the 360 results go up by almost 100 votes. I really doubt there are that many people actually voting, so I'm pretty positive there's a script. Microsoft is funny.
I'm going to go ahead and put it out there that yea, I think Microsoft is toying with it. No poll on IGN has ever gone into the "millions" of votes, so obviously there's some "divine intervention" going on here. Pretty funny though.
First of all, it's Metal Gear. Regardless how much prep work they could have done, the servers were going to crash from the sheer amount of people that are going to be using it.
But, they messed up on several levels, which are aiding to extra problems. First off, the 9-digit code oversite is a huge problem and that screwed them from the start. Adding to that, they should have been telling people to register for the Konami ID's when they received their beta DVD almost 2-3 weeks ag...
kwicksandz, learn to spell for starters. Second, you're from Australia, so I'm not surprised by your comment at all and your bias in agreeing with this article. Third, calling me a fanboy simply because I disagree only proves how completely shut down to the actual point you are.
I say it's not a big deal because it's not. I'm pretty sure that 90% of gamers have plenty of these cables at home. Everything in Australia is expensive and do you deserve to have your controller replac...
With an install base of over 10 million people Blizzard is not going to risk alienating a majority of the players from being able to play Warcraft. They've even gone on record saying this in the past in regards to the Lich King that graphics will not see a major jump. Keeping in mind that you have large boss battles with 25 people in the room all using powers that are require a lot of visual stardust and then factoring in that you're running all of this over people's sometimes crappy connect...
It's funny that people are really making a big deal about a cable. Granted, it SHOULD include it, but it's a USB-to-Mini USB cable that's about 4 feet long. Anyone who has ANY other devices in their house (cameras, cell phones, etc.) should have a dozen of these things sitting around and considering the whole purpose of the controller is to be wireless, you're only using the cable when charging. If you're like me, I only really one have controller plugged it at any given time and it's usuall...
Gotta give this guy kudos, he managed to go whole interview and not actually answer a single question and completely dodge the negative ones by just restating the question. Smoke and mirrors all the way.
So the guy is complaining about slow loading the morning of the release and DURING the upload for the store in the first place. Are people really this stupid?
Arguably, the guy that wrote this argument has a very valid point, at least in his market where the bundle looks to be in existence. Considering this is the first GTA with online play, there are going to be a LOT of people who won't even know about that side of the game, let alone care. Not to mention, the MAJORITY of GTA players never even finish the game (or even make it 50% through) because they are just having a crapload of fun running around and blowing stuff up. So, for the casual gam...
If a game just called you fat, then I'm sorry, but you just got OWNED! I mean, not to sound like a jackass, but that's pretty damn funny. Seeing as how videogames are technically one reason that has led to obesity (it's just so easy to sit at home all day, play games, and never go outside or interact within the real world) that I find this pretty damn funny for a game to call you fat because it probably holds some truth.
The fact that people are actually exercising in a freaking ...
