I'm in the same boat, but I still have Shadow of War and Evil Within 2 to keep me busy.
They actually won't unless they can own the IP. Insomniac wants to keep the rights to the IP and MS let them and that is the reason its was an Xbox exclusive in the first place.
Spot on. Unfortunately SSO came out at a bad time for this gen. A sequel would do much better today (*Even if some stigma's are still there)
One of my favorite games this gen
The only reason Sunset was on Xbox is because Insomniac wants to keep the IP and Sony needs to own all IP's while MS was fine publishing this one and letting Insomniac keep the IP.
Same thing happens to a lot of MS's exclusives that go Multiplat on a sequel.
Made perfect sense. MS slit their throat at the beginning of the gen with that botched reveal, not many people were buying Xbox's at that point.
Unless either Sony changes their stance on owning the IP or Insomniac changes their stance about owning the IP... that isn't going to happen...
I loved it on my Xbox. I think the only reason it failed is because MS basically slit their own throat at the beginning of this gen and this was a launch window title when not many people were buying Xbox's yet.
I hope someone picks it up for a sequel, SSOD is one of my favorite games this gen and I want to play a sequel no matter who publishes it.
Edit: For some reason I thought SSOD was a launch window, but it was released almost a year after the X...
Its better for the developers to own their IP. MS let them do that so that's why it was an Xbox exclusive
Sony likes to own IP's... that's the entire reason it was on MS in the first place.
I hated it then also... instead of discussing the game people use these slight number to chest pound like its some great achievement and they are better because of it.
Its all about the optimization skills of the developer.
Ugh, I'm so tired of these articles already... Just like when this happened with the PS4 vs Xbox
Just stop, yes it is common knowledge that the more powerful console will look a bit better, we don't need multiple articles about this for every game. Just let DF do their analysis and call it good.
One of my most anticipated titles. I am in the alpha rotation and having a good time hoping in with rando's. I'd say at least 90% of my matchmaking has been an excellent experience getting in a group with all mic's and who are willing to help and have fun. Obviously that will chnage once it gets out to the masses, but the fun is there if you have a group.
They have been adding so much to the game and it has changed so much and I doubt its going to stop being add...
Indeed. It is such a shame really.
I hope there are some big fixes coming its way that will change the end game grind. Other than that the game is awesome
They review the content that was shipped... not the promise of more content in the future. The fact remains the launch version of GTS is lacking in content.
If you honestly believe someone is going to call you a professional driver for playing a video game that doesn't even let you tune your car then you're delusional and need to seek help ASAP
"They are starting something new and not put just one new track, talk about 4k assets, and GPU and put more cars."
You're right, they are adding something new and not adding ANY new tracks or have native 4k also DECREASING car count and customization and no career mode... That is something new to do for a long running racing franchise.. you're correct.
Well, there is a good reason why haha Its a game that would be free on a cell phone, but is being sold for $9.99 on the Switch.
Agreed. Not exactly a system seller, just an additional perk of the platform.
