Is SoT not a game? Huh...
DOA PUBG? What?
Didn't we just get news it passed 3 million players in less than 3 months?
A part of their large update in 3 months will include the MX's. In between that will be some smaller updates. I think pets are also confirmed for that large update in 3 months.
As long as the MX's are also obtainable by just playing the game I don't have a problem with it. If they lock certain cosmetics behind a paywall I'll be pissed.
They haven't been quiet haha the first day they released another video doc going over their plan for the week smashing bugs and getting servers stable is their main priority. Then after that they will be moving forward with their content plans.
I had a similar experience with the Tavern Bartender. I ended up getting a lot of gold for doing that.
But that's the thing about this game, it doesn't give you a quest log or indicators or anything. It's up to you. if you aren't talking to NPC's or searching islands for messages in bottles or lost journals etc. creating your own adventure then you will probably get bored.
You need to have that sense of exploration and adventure to rea...
I have had a ton of amazing moments with this game. Yesterday I was playing solo and ended up teaming up with a 2-man sloop, going on voyages and splitting the loot! It was the first time I ran into some guys that didn't want to murder me on sight haha
@Rachel
Wait, are you telling me a game designed to be played with friends or rando's isn't great when you are playing alone? Woah, mind blown. Its like saying CoD Zombies is boring alone... well, no duh, it's meant to be played with people.
But anyway. I still enjoy it alone. It can be relaxing at times and hectic a moment later when you engage in some PvP.
@TFJWM
Rare had freedom to make Kameo, the Kinect games, Viva Pinata and now Sea of Thieves. I think the only games they were more than likely forced to make were Banjo Nuts and Bolts and Perfect Dark Zero because MS knew they were big Rare titles. Apparently Rare was never forced on Kinect. It was something they wanted to pursue.
I wouldn't say Rare has failed.
Say what you will about them focusing on Kinect, but their games were the best ones for the dang device. Also Viva Pinata (not really my style) was well received as well.
SoT is sitting at 70 on meta and had over a million unique players day one and topped the UK charts for the week... I wouldn't really classify that as a "Failure". Did it live up to the ridiculous hype and pressure people put on it? Doesn...
Surprised as well considering A Way Out is only $30
Well... considering Cory himself directly said he took a lot of inspiration from ND and TLoU it's only obvious there will be some similarities.
But at least he is taking inspiration from a great game, so why is that a bad thing?
"Debuting at No1 this week is Ubisoft’s long-awaited ‘Sea of Thieves’ Xbox One box release."
Um... what?
Good for Rare! I hope this spurs them on to keep some content coming frequently!
Dragon Age has become one of my favorite series from BioWare. Origins was fantastic! DA2 was a big let down, but they made some good leaps in the characters. The combat was just mashing A a ton and I didn't like that.
Inquisition, for me, is a mixed bag. I actually shelved it because I got so bored of that opening area, but I came back a couple months later, pushed through some main missions and then it hooked me.
If DA4 can bring back more of the com...
If anyone read the article about "What does the cloud in the sky mean?"
Well, this is what it means haha
The skulls indicate a fairly difficult skeleton fortress that will require some decent planning with a full crew. There are multiple waves of increasing difficult skeleton. Starting from just the normal ones, to ones covered in armor that will bounce you back if you attack with a sword. There are also skeleton phantoms as well.
Once you defeat the waves you must kill the captain to obtain the key, get the loot and get out of there. All players in your server can see this sk...
@r2oB
I don't agree at all.
Weapon rolls and gear drops they purposefully avoided so that way it didn't become a PvP slaughterhouse due to no-lifers grinding countless hours and preying on people.
A lot of games, much like SoT, are hard to base an opinion on without trying it out. This guy is suppose to be a journalist, right? Spend the $10 to play the game on GP that way your arguments hold more weight...
This guy is creating a slam article based on other people opinions instead of creating something with his own personal views. That is no better than the crap fanboys spew on N4G all day...
