It's actually more likely that GOWIII sold more than ME2 than it didn't. The first Mass Effect sold just over 2 million for lifetime sales. GOWIII hit 2 million in it's second month.
As for the controls, I can definitely see both sides but in the end it really comes down to the fact that people more used to unrealistic shooting mechanics. With COD, hipfire is very inaccurate, so you are pretty much looking down your scope at all ranges with most weapons. KZ2 is almost flip flopped. From close to medium range, shooting from the hip is the primary way to fire. It only really at long range that you zoom and look down the scope. Most people who failed at KZ2 simply could...
What ruined the game are the extremely noob friendly game mechanics and the horribly implemented online system. For Nintendo's flagship online title, they dropped the ball hard.
This, I agree with. A lot of these shooters need to be like one of these shooters: MAG, Metro 2033, or KZ/Halo. If you are going to emphasize the multiplayer to the point where single player is negligible, make your game like MAG and just throw all your resources at the multiplayer. If your shooter is very story driven, make it like Metro2033. If there's a legitimate story to tell to give reason for multiplayer, make your game like KZ or Halo.
BC2, like KZ2, has gigantic maps, in comparison to MW2. Prone would make snipers waay too hard to take down and break the game.
Just say you didn't play the game because to everyone who has played it, you sound like you're going off hearsay and youtube videos. The game has bonus content, and in the level design portion you would see that the levels are created then the camera angles are chosen afterwards like someone mentioned above.
Even if you didn't watch the developer diaries, if you played the game there are two things that would make this very obvious: first the books you interact with in the game ...
When does this come out? I'm a single player gamer at heart and thoroughly intrigued by this game.
As for what resolution it runs at, 90% of the people who buy this game will not know or care what resolution it is. The argument here is basically against the 360 fanboys who hyped this game to the absolute maximum. Most games don't live up to expectations so stop hyping them and just be pleasantly surprised when they're released, or else you looking like a backtracking fool.
Unless you're running a pioneer elite and some $2000+ blu ray player, you should literally ignore every other player except the PS3, or you will be buying a new one every year to keep up with how fast technology is advancing. The system is pretty much the Model T of media hardware going forward. Sony wasn't kidding when they said "futureproof"
Doesn't that mean Japan will have to lift the ban on plasmas to use that tech? XD
Hertz is the measurement of cycles per second. The word is interchangeable. FPS just specifies that you're talking about frames.
Edit: JoelR you beat me to it lol. 120Hz at 24fps looks terrible though. Movies lose their "film-like look" when it's on.
I don't think you know what you're talking about. The TVs out today do in fact have 120 and 240Hz processors built in, specifically the Sony and Samsung TVs. The LG, Toshiba, and off-brand sets (at least 09 and back) basically emulated the "120/240Hz effect" without having an actual 120/240Hz processor built in, which helped cut costs and keep those sets at a lower price. What that means is that if there was actually any content out with that high of a refresh rate, the Sony and ...
Ok so here's how it works. The samsung will do a conversion and basically it will provide depth to your image, and that's it. Think of it like looking through a window.
True 3D, however, will not only provide depth, but you will also get the effect of things coming out of your screen and a much clearer picture. That's the difference.
@hiyaku17
Yes the the technology is already there to make 3D TVs without the need for glasses. The catch though is that ther...
What's funny is this game is so below the radar to me, I didn't even know it was already released.
Never really been a splinter cell fan tho. The games seem to always be designed around killing everyone without being seen, rather than making it as if you were never even there. Now, if you could choose either option that'd be cool with me, but you can't :/
How could you possibly understand the story by skipping all the cutscenes in MGS4? Cutscenes are part of the game. Do you do that in every game? Skip all the cutscenes in FFXIII. Skip the endings in all games. Skip the beginning of all games. Wtf is wrong with you? Did you know there's princess in Super Mario?
It's more likely that these researchers haven't logged into PSN...ever...
You hate Sony, love Microsoft, and this news is giving you a boner. We get it. How about you be the first one to sue Sony? I'm sure you own a PS3 and use linux everyday.
Titan was tough. It was the first mode I played and took me 16 hours to beat. Can't wait to do chaos.
Man, that's the difficulty I started with. I just beat it, and it took me about 16 hours to beat lol. Titan is no joke.
Chaos? By the gods...
You read that wrong. When he said 2.5, he wasn't relating it to stereoscopic 3D. He referring to the game being a 2D game, with the ability to move your character moderately in the 3rd dimension(depth).
