I would rather them can the game early cause it wasn't turning out good then to force a not so great sequel. I don't see this as a bad thing.

Now if they said, oh the game was turning out great, but we canned it cause we want to make another Madden, then I'd be upset.

I understand the reasoning behind this but you have to realize that this is how it is with every system. If you buy it close to launch you normally have to wait a few years, closer to mid life to start seeing games really take advantage of what the system does. If you expect to buy a system and right away get games that use 100% of the system, then you are prob used to buying systems a few years into its life cycle. Just because you waited and just bought your system recently doesn't mean...

They've been saying 10 year life cycle since the PS2. The PS2 was out for 5-6 years before the PS3 came out. But the PS2 was supported up to and past the 10 year mark. That's what they mean. It doesn't mean that another system wont come out until after 10 years. Why do people keep bringing this up?

Actually, the more time they take, the cheaper it will be. Nintendo does this. They design and develop the system until they feel good about it. Then they shelve all the designs until manufacturing it will be cheap enough. Sounds like Sony is doing the same. Everyone wants to make a profit on the hardware nowadays. Used to be, you sold console at cost and made all your money off software.

With all the prepubescent teens on N4G, I expect this to hit into the 1000 degrees. Funny thing is, it's the top 5 unsexy sex scenes.

With the amount of publicity he has gotten, I'd say he will have a pretty good resume for hardware/ software security in the future. Even if Sony wins they can only take what he has money wise. If he files bankruptcy the he gets out of all dept and takes a knock on his credit. The reason this is a big deal for Sony is because if they win anyfuture case of similar or same nature will be streamlined because they will refer to the ruling of this case.Geo will never be in dept for the rest of...

Actually geoh. Was working on implimenting security measures back into his crack so people could still do homebrew but not play pirated games. That is, until Sony took him to court. Now he can't do anything.

He's being sued, not taken to court for a crime. There is a deference. He won't be going to jail for this. Not unless the authorities press charges, which they haven't. This is a simple matter of Sony wanting to shut him down so he can never do this again, while delivering a message to anyone else who is thinking of doing it.
I swear, based off of peoples comments, hacking the PS3 is the equivalent of killing the president/ prime minister.

He probably tried to play the demo like you would COD or some other normal military fps.

You can't play the game like that. It isn't meant to be.

For 300, I'll pick it up sometime early next year.

I have spoken to so many people who played the demo and didn't like it. When I asked them to play it in front of me, they played it like they would Call of Duty or Halo. I would then go through and show them how I played it getting about a 15k score in the demo.

Needless to say, when playing the game, not like a military shooter, people have way more fun with it. I have yet to meet someone who has been able to show me they are playing the game right and not having fun do...

That's the point though. To get people to play your game longer.

People are more likely to go after the next achievement if they are only a few hours away from getting it after finishing the last achievement. (They use this tactic in MMOs with gear).

50 achievements will only last so long, so you are left with two options.

1: Increase the amount of time it takes the average person to get that next achievement (harder to get). This is n...

I didn't say it would be impossible. I said it is more challenging, making the different builds unbalanced.

Why are people trying to turn what I'm saying into something else?
First people try to say I'm saying the computer cheats, then they try to say I'm saying the levels are designed bad, then they try and say I'm saying its impossible with certain builds.

I said the game is unbalanced. That is bad design. The rest of the game i...

Royal magician made the game lol easy. Every other class made it more difficult. The more you went close range Melee the harder it got. Thief being great example. That's not a great design choice. The builds should be about even in difficulty. I didn't say the comp cheats for this game. Was just making a general observation about what I don't like. I also don't think the level design is bad. If you make one build way easier than others, majority of people will gravitate to tha...

You pretty much had to play the game with a specific build and class to stand a chance against the harder stuff. Because of that, I had many friends who had to start over in order to beat the game. That's not a good design choice. Nothing wrong with a challenging game as long as the challenge doesn't come from poor design or allowing the computer to cheat.

No, it's not the parents to blame. It has to be the governments fault. They are ruining the youth of today with all their regulations!

You just turn so slow. I would prefer to play with just the regular controller.

Sony hasn't recently been known for their good pricing decisions. They might think that people will save to buy the NGP if they really want it like the PS3 originally.

Seriously though. I would be overly shocked if they priced the thing at $300 or less. I expect it to retail at the very least $400.

3g is not fast enough for games like that online. You will want to play over wifi. The 3g is better used for browsing the web and downloading new apps/games.
