No, they should instead stop making dumbed down over the top action experiences, and focus on making quality games. You build something good, people will come.
I'm looking at you EA.
I do wish the coop was more like the SP, however it's still fun. I recommend it for sure. My friends and I had lots of fun with it.
The MP is well done.... however I'd rather play the SP.
EA: "Oh we have a really unique game with really unique gameplay mechanics? Screw those, take them out, make the game generic. This will sell more."
*Faceplam*
Epic hasn't been listening to their forum community for years now. Which is a shame, because the ideas on their forums are usually miles ahead of their own.
Gears Judgement is just headed for the complete wrong direction. Gears 3 had its problems, but at this point... I'll be playing Gears 3 when Judgement launches.
Because EA will always make a good game for a certain genre, and then they will slowly steer away from that genre and into the action genre. They've done this for just about every single franchise they own.
Is Orbis a metaphor for the little man in your pants? :P
So is it disturbing that the story DLC will be released day1... or is the story DLC disturbing?
From what I've seen of the game, it doesn't look very disturbing (not like the previous two games anyways)... so I guess it's the first option.
@RIPSKATEDESTROY
But see how much those games stick out like a sore thumb? These games would be normal in days of past.
So yes, games are too easy these days. They're catered towards the lowest common denominator... That's why.
Calm yourselves folks. It's published by EA, meaning they will somehow shove some unnecessary feature that will just make you want to put the game down and just go back and play the original Burnout Paradise.
No no... Says the guy who endorsed Sawed off Shotgun in Gears3.
I'd buy it. I'd buy 10 copies if they announced it right now.
Play Dead space 1 or 2 on the hardest difficulties... It's Survival Horror.
Yes, EA will put out a new IP that is awesome and creative and will attract a bunch of new players.... However the sequel will kill those unique features and make the game super generic (because they think casuals like generic).
Take Dragon Age. DA:Origins had deep story telling, difficult and deep combat system, and many decisions that actually mattered in the overall story. DA2 had a linear story, button mashing combat, and decisions that make no difference in how the story...
Wow... an actual expansion disc... Boy I've missed those! Here is hoping! :D
EA: "Oh, we have a unique game with unique gameplay mechanics that stand out from other games? Well, we need to shove a military guy in there, some more explosions, a cover system, and coop so that our game can be generic so it doesn't stand out"
Think about it this way. If i made the best point and click adventure game ever made, and I named it Call of duty 10, would it make sense? It would be the best P&C game ever made, so you shouldn't complain right...
"EA killed this franchise."
Wrong, they not only killed this franchise, but just about every single other unique and intuitive franchise they have.
Oh we have a really unique game with really unique gameplay mechanics? STRIP ALL OF IT, MAKE IT GENERIC SO THAT A DONKEY CAN PLAY IT!!!!
In all the gameplay videos of DS3 I've barely seen any precision limb cutting, all I've seen has been automatic rifles. This is not an arcade s...
First Army of two game was pretty cool actually... The second was a step back, and I expect this will be another step back...
This seems to be a common trend with all EA franchises: cool first iteration, the franchise progressively gets worse and worse because they try and appeal to the lower common denominator.
@fossilfern LOL SW:TOR was a stupid idea from the start. How the heck does it make sense to have personal decisions being made by a party voting system? Nobody wants that, I want to make my choices my self.
This idea was broken from the start. It was just a poor excuse to slap a Bioware logo on the box of an MMO. Nice job EA.
On topic though: CD Project made a game that was everything Dragon Age 2 should have been and more with Witcher 2.
I...
Have never played the PS3 version, but the xbox version was pretty good looking, considering how big the game was.
On topic, though I don't at all regret buying my ps3, as I've played many exclusives that I love very much, I'll be very upset if the Last Guardian is not launched on the PS3. One of the biggest reason I bought a PS3 to begin with was to play the Last Guardian, please make this true!
AHHHHH who am I kidding... I'll buy a PS4 to play ...
I hope this doesn't mean that he's rushing the developers...
I know Metro was already supposed to come out this year... But if Saints Row 4 is a next gen title, two years of development might be pushing it (specially considering that they were spending a good 6 months of that thinking that the contents of this game would be an expansion for SR3)
