Deep, did you try when the amber light comes on, holding the reset button for 3-5 seconds, it happened to me once, but i did that, and it went to normal operation.
With the new firmware, you'll likely boot to safe mode, and go from there (although i'm not sure how that works).
The Reviewer gave it and 8, but the editor gave it a 9?

Sony forcasted a greater loss than expected due to the yen increasing vs. the us dollar, which means their profit, or in this case their losses are greater than normal. But that only accounts for half.
They said lower than expected sales...I bet you that's not the result of PS3....Especially if PS3 is being sold at loss. IF they sell more, their losses become bigger. Where they lost (Or than expected sales) are probably their forcast for PSP...

Could be, although they said "looks to be worth the wait" could be enough of an excuse to give it a 4/5 or 4.5/5.

Looks like It'll be hard for WKC to sell 400 K, but still pretty good for a new IP especially on PS3. I think Rogue Galaxy sold on PS2 install base, in the 600K range.

GG/Sony has exclusive rights with US (Official Play station magazine), which was published.
Thus no us gaming magazine, or website can release a review prior to Feb.
Sames goes for UK (Official UK PlayStation magazine), but as for other terrorities, they may not be governed by such restrictions... OR they broke the NDA, and risked getting their "Name" out first, but likely will be punished in the future w...
That's meant for online reviews, magazines are different embargo, cause it takes them a while to get stuff printed, and sent out, and by the time it's on the shelves, it's likely around the same time the embargo is off.
what ya expect it's a high profile game, everyone and their mother have likely been sent a review copy.
It'll likely be a multi-platform, or Microsoft can secure it's exclusive rights...
all they would have to do is give EA a check of what EA at best predicts Mass Effect 2/3 sales would be on PS3.
Say 1 million + copies sold on PS3, if MSoft can cover it, then i don't see why it couldn't be exclusive.
However without any checks, etc. I can't see how this wouldn't be a multiplatform game. Their no incentive for EA to make it exclusive to one platform.

Appearently there isn't a party system like there is in R2... But it's easier to find games, and jump in games of friends, rather than waiting in R2 till all are done.
So it looks like they really like the game! ;) I wonder if they get in trouble for publishing well before the NDA for Reviews. I thought reviews weren't allowed to be published till Feb.

I dunno what square is waiting for, obviously their is a demand of FF7 remake.
I mean they've made so many other remakes all for DS though, I guess it's much cheaper, and doesn't take long to remake an SNES classic, over what people would expect for FF7.
Not to say the company doesn't get involved, they do, i mean they have to give up time for behind the scenes videos, decide which stuff to include in art books, etc. But this is generally handled by the parent company. Not all the time though.
So maybe GG just wanted to concentrate on making/finishing the game, and not worry about documentaries being filmed, approving content/art work for collector edition, etc.
I agree but generally GG or the main company isn't incharge of collector/limited edition, it's the parent company, in this case Sony PR/Marketing staff that handle that.
Like MGS 4 (Kojima productions i'm sure focused on the game, and Konami the parent company worried about the collector edition).
If they are not planning one now considering the game is out in about 5-6 weeks, and considering game is going to press/mass production if not already, I doubt they will have one.
It's not like a week prior to release they'll say oh BTW we have a collector edition coming out ,you announce these kind of things months in advance.
It's not a huge deal, but it does give people who wanted to have something as collector of gaming, an option. Like you were given with MGS 4 (Hell they had a limited edition console, game, amongst other things), like you had for Resistance 2, Fallout 3 had 2 collector editions, GTA IV, etc.
All games released in 09, and on are to have trophies (mandatory). Don't need a firmware update for that....
