What's stopping them from doing it now?
No one told them NOT to do Steam-like sales after the policy reversal. MS decided they weren't going to do Steam-like sales at all.
Even with the suppression of DRM, why is the OS still crap? No one told MS to undo all the good they did with the Xbox 360 dashboard and turn the XB1 into a Windows 8 tablet.
I don't understand fanboy logic. All the reversals did was remove the DRM and the unn...

What does that even mean? Every core sector of gaming IS a niche market. Nintendo is catering toward every sector just like they said they would.
Everyone complained when Nintendo appealed mostly to a wide market with Wii Fit and Wii Sports and Wii Party during the Wii's lifespan.
Now you're saying that for the Wii U they need to go back to doing what they did with the Wii?

Hey dude, the STeam Offline mode not working properly is a glitch. There are many articles about it.
Valve fixed it so now Steam works in offline mode indefinitely. You should try it again sometime. Offline mode used to be shoddy and crappy but they've fixed it up proper.
Apparently he doesn't live on the same planet as the rest of us. Maybe cats are his friends?
Hmm, okay. Good, you can go back to mobile games, then. Those people aren't "gamers" either.
Ha, your username matches your comment perfectly.

I agree with your sentiment as well. I haven't played the game yet but I've watched enough of the gameplay content to know that it's deep and disturbing but there are a lot of layers to it.
It's funny because if this were a South Korean film it would be receiving all sorts praise, just like I Saw The Devil.
It's confirmed native 720p so it wont' look any worse than the typical Xbone title. Plus it'll have all the latest shaders and graphical effects, so yeah, I'm excited for the game, too.
"Now where did I leave my game? Oh right, the company went bust and took it from the digital store."
Ah, the newfound joys of an all-digital future.
Steam offline mode is indefinite:

The only time people had to sign in with Steam's offline was because of a bug.
But yeah, always-on DRM is crap and needs to die a fiery death.
What about Microsoft's parity clause? I thought games had to launch at the same time to appear on an Xbox console?
TABLETS! TABLETS ARE TEH MONEY! INVEST IN TABLET GAMINGGGGGG!!!!1111!!!!!11
Yes, because behind the tits is dat a$$. And that can be very deep and addicting, too.
It's an okay game. It's like Minecraft + DayZ in the strictest sense.
The problem is that it's not as intense as DayZ Alpher and it's not as intuitive as Minecraft. It's more like if Garry's Mod tried to imitate both DayZ and Minecraft and Rust was the result.
It's kind of jangily but there is potential there. Gary just needs to sort of like, well, do a lot. It has a long ways to go. But it was sort of fun when it was a free alpha...
The games that do DLC right can literally be counted on one hand.
It's such a sad, sad state that the industry has fallen into.
I purposefully avoided Saints Row IV because I knew they would milk DLC like a baby milks its mother's teets, and sure enough I was right.
I will now only buy Saints Row IV when I can buy the "complete" game after they are done milking DLC.
I hope companies realize they lose $60 ...
You don't know about Oculus Fap, son? You need to get with the times.
Ah, so you're a chick?
Dang that's quick... even for a wack job.
That was a very helpful and intelligent comment.
There are also a lot of model-types on there with tight shirts and perky assets trying to get in good on the hits/revenue.
The sad part about it? They're usually managed by some sleazy dude making all the profit.
