Nintendo's gamble with the WiiU is depending on it having the same specs as whatever system Sony and Nintendo come out with next. If doesn't matter that the WiiU may be more powerful than the PS3 or 360 if it doesn't have developer support from the beginning. Devs want to make games that can be easily ported for all platforms, something Sony learned this gen. No one wants to spend the time and resources making a game that will take advantage of a particular system's advantages...
"Spoiled gamer is spoiled"
Nothing to see here, folks.
Which is all good except for the part where pirates are stealing the game.
Stealing stuff is always cheaper than buying it.
It's also illegal.
I'm just not getting the anger here. The Collector's Edition has exclusive content and people complained so EA makes that same content available to everyone Day 1.
This isn't the first Mass Effect with paid DLC so I don't see the problem. Plus, BioWare is pretty good at providing DLC that can be really good but at the same time not 100% essential to the campaign which is exactly what DLC should be.
All in all, it sounds like people are mad tha...
1. EA announces the Collector's Edition which will contain bonus content and will be extremely limited.
2. The hardcore fans preorder it immediately. Everyone else goes "Meh".
3. Said "limited" Collector's Edition sells out on 360. Stores stop taking preorders. Imagine that...
4. Then comes the Bioware leak revealing that the bonus content is actually a "possibly" important bonus character and missions. O...
Hookers contain locked bonus content, as well.
It's commonly known as STDs.
If anyone thinks this or any other blackout will ever change anything then I have a bridge in Brooklyn you might be interested in buying.
Great position to overtake the Wii? Hardly.
MS just just had their greatest year ever and moved 13 million consoles, and surpassed their closest competition by a whopping...800,000 units.
There is NO way MS will catch up the Wii in sales this gen. Not when they are already 30 million behind.
But PS3 is only 4 million behind the 360...
The review doesn't address this but I was surprised by how much fun the co-op missions are.
Since you spend the majority of the game with at least one AI companion anyway, a full co-op campaign would have been great. I don't know why DICE didn't include one. But either way, BF3 is definitely my favorite shooter at the moment.
I'm pretty sure GOW3 just passed 4 million sold...
It depends.
There is no excuse for a single player game with no online component at all. Multiplayer gets a pass but mainly if the patches are for balance, not so the game can actually be playable.
This is why Anonymous is ridiculous.
Doesn't it make more sense to attack the supporters of this bill IF it passes into law? Seeing how people are already up in arms about the language of the bill plus the fact that the American government can't even agree on a way to fund itself, I don't think it has a chance.
Either way it's another win-win for the Anons. If the bill doesn't pass, they'll try to take the credit and pat themselves on...
I agreed with you but then I remembered Final Fantasy is Square Enix's baby also.
Simple.
One is multi-platform. The other isn't.
Except there is nothing that says you can't sue. It is a clause that eliminates class action lawsuits and handles lawsuits through mediation instead.
Everyone is just angry because they think they would lose if they tried to foolishly take on the legal team of a multi-billion dollar company like Sony by themselves...and they are right.
If your PS3 blows up and sets your house on fire, you may have a shot. If you are whining that Sony says you have to play...
Anyone who has finished Arkham City and all the side missions knows that there will be another Arkham game and has an idea of what will be in it.
I NEED the next game ASAP so if Rocksteady could expedite that, that would be great.
Well, it IS North America....
*sigh*
I think some critics played UC3 expecting the epic finale to a trilogy instead of the equally epic continuation of a franchise that it is. The author of the article also seems to have a problem with the fact that Drake may not be who he says/thinks he is, something that has been hinted at since the 1st game and not yet resolved.
My guess is Naughty Dog is holding some stuff back for the final Uncharted game, which I hope doesn't happen for a while.
I really hope they don't do anything to the Kill Cam. It's so satisfying to see the person who killed me get gunned down by someone else seconds later.
Nintendo made the lion's share this gen but at the expense of 3rd party support. They had huge hardware numbers but their software (that wasn't bundled with the system or wasn't made by Nintendo) sales were lacking, leaving people wondering if 3rd parties will flock to the WiiU with open arms.
Meanwhile, Sony's launch price "screw up" has put them 3 million units away from their nearest competitor who launched a year earlier at $200 cheaper.
