Can that tablet be used for anything other than playing WiiU games?
If so, thats's great.
If not, all MS & Sony have to do to overshadow the Wii U is offer iPad & Android tablet support to their new systems. Something they are both already working on.
They have a right to be angry because this Bayonetta 2 deal is the worst kind of exclusive. It would be one thing for Nintendo to buy a new IP from a third party publisher (like Gears of War for MS) or get exclusive content from a third party game (Sony's exclusive Joker maps for Arkham Asylum). I would say this is unprecedented but I remember Nintendo doing the exact same thing when they snatched RE4 for Gamecube.
This deal is a slap in the face to anyone who played the...
"Not expensive"?
There's a $150 Wii U controller that says otherwise.
Play Left 4 Dead.
Another is that Nintendo has for years been content to live off their ancient franchises but now wants a piece of that part of industry which has thrived without them. After all CoD makes millions for Sony & Microsoft; Nintendo not so much.
Nintendo neglected 3rd party publishers by not making a system that was up to current gen standards. The WiiU is their mea culpa.
I think your sarcasm detector is broken...
LX was trolling hard.
That "5-15 mil" is probably the amount the WiiU sells before the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft are released. It might be less if rumors are true and both are coming next year. Not to mention price cuts for PS3 & 360 which might slow WiiU sales this holiday.
Nintendo may get two good years out of the WiiU before it gets eclipsed.
Do you work for Nintendo or something?
Jackman's a little old to play the MGS1 Solid Snake though I could definitely see him playing Big Boss.
That's a pretty decent list. Just as long as they keep Paul W.S. Anderson away from it, it should be good. Having said that, I'd probably see it if he was directing anyway...
Blame the Free Market.
Shitty is a relative term. I know people that think MW3 is a shitty game and that didn't stop it from selling a ridiculous amount.
It's not about how good the stock is but about how high it can get. Activision Blizzard has been on top of the gaming industry for a while now and the sales of its games are about as high as they can get... before a crash.
Nothing stays at the top forever and a dip in sales (and therefore stock price) is inevitable.
What brought Activision to the top? Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero, and CoD. Now only CoD remains and the shooter audience is starting to lose inte...
Socom 4 was a game made by committee, not passion. Period.
CoD doesn't just sell well but it sells more than every other game made in a given year. I can see why game companies are trying to capture that magic in their own franchises but, in this case, Zipper sucked the essence of everything Socom is from that game. While I had a little fun with it and I don't think it's AWFUL (I bought the special edition on day one) it is definitely as generic as games come and...
With the exception of Witcher 2, all of those games are also on PS3. Combine that with the many PS3 exclusives and that is why people say MS has no games.
I would rather have a new Battlefront.
With Ubisoft, the only thing that really disappointed me was the lack of Rainbow Six. They released the test footage a while back, premiered a teaser at the VGAs, and now nothing and the game was dated to be out next year.
I'm thinking the WiiU will extend this gen a little longer for devs and the games coming out in the next few years will be on par with the best games we are seeing now. Most people won't complain if every game looks like Gears of War and Killzone.
It all depends on the WiiU. If it's a hit, that will force the other two to go as big as possible. If it flops, Sony and Microsoft will ease off and try to squeeze as much as they can out of the current resources. We...
I feel the same way but developers now want to make games that are as easy to make as possible across multiple platforms. Third parties rule gaming now. Next gen is going to be 3 consoles with very similar specs making cookie cutter games, cashing in as easily as possible.
@ElectricKaibutsu It goes deeper than that. Nintendo is adopting a "me too" strategy to get the hardcore audience back to their brand. I don't care about Bayonetta (I haven't even played the game tbh) but if a franchise I liked went exclusive to a system I had no intention of buying then I'm done with that franchise. I've been playing Metal Gear Solid since the PS1 days but if MGS4 had been a Xbox exclusive, I definitely wasn't going to buy a 360 for it. If Ninte...
