It seems strange to say such a thing when so many huge titles on either side make up a large part (arguably the largest part) of each year's biggest hits, not to mention best selling, i.e. Halos, Gears, MGSs, et cetera.
Never trust that site again..
I want my memory stick back..
Damn them... I wanted to pay!!! I was actually WILLING for once and they go and give it away for free.. HOGWASH I SAY!!!
"8. The video was runnning the Xbox 360 version. At one point the player is prompted to press A to search the remains of a splicer."
I tend to agree, but it might have been a PC version using a 360 controller (as crazy as that sounds), but it IS possible.
Somebody's handing out disagrees on everyone! :)
@ Product
The way you said that, "the game watching your progress..." makes it sound freaky... now if only somebody would remake Eternal Darkness too I'll be set.
I would disagree somewhat with the other commentator, it is similar to Mercenaries 2, but the destruction is far more realistic and detailed, not to mention the graphical jumps over the latter title (though both games are great).
If I had to choose, I would choose Red Faction just from the demo alone..
Never mind, I forgot to go to the UK site; thanks for the info poster!
So after you register how do you get the code?
From now on..
..these kids need to run their so-called 'system defense articles' by me before posting, this is an embarrassingly poorly argued topic and I am ashamed to be associated with this individual in that I too own a PS3 and believe in its primacy among other consoles of this generation; please, if any of my Xbot-adversaries are present, do not rape this unfortunate and intellectually defunct lad's article too harshly.
Thank You
One thing I sort of agree with you on is that I think Microsoft wants to tinker with their death box as little as possible at this point, they don't want to risk causing any more RRoD issues, so, as a result, their customers get gimped.
One error in his logic is that he stated the PS3 install base is increasing along side the continued purchases of the game and therefore the percentage would remain the same; this would be true if the PS3 adoption rate and Killzone 2 rate of sale were equal and as it stands there is no evidence to suggest they are.
Altogether, I I don't think any game would sell 30 or so percent on a Sony console, Sony's consoles don't "need" those kinds of games to survive, they have v...
This should have come out before the game released, even before the playable demo...
They got their advertising a bit backward in my opinion.. but oh well. I wish they could somehow add an option to record your own little vids like this; doesn't Halo 3 do something like that?
Ha!
Number 1, it should be called the "Funtari."
Number 2, the PS3 has faster RAM than this thing's made-up RAM
I'd like to see comparisons between Cry Engine 3 and whatever Crysis used (Cry 2?) to see what drawbacks (as well as improvements) it actually has. UE3 (as much as I despise its overuse) has the added advantage of developer experience, everybody and their mother has had a go at the old UE3 or its predecessors at some point or another; the old skank.
Actually, seething the forest (not the jungle part) kinda made me reminisce about a Jurrasic Park game or something... I'd like to see a well-made dino game... not that piece of crap Turok.
Actually, I think they are planning to revert to the control scheme utilized in the Resident Evil remake for Game Cube, i.e. you can point upward at a fixed twenty-five degree angle, straight ahead, or downward at thirty-five degrees.
I used to work at wal-mart, this sounds like something one of my buddies would do; as Unloaders, we have access to all that stuff as it comes in (as do many others) and it might have been an old cheap card used as a practical joke.
