Pros:

Beautiful story and characters (acting was superb).

Beautiful art design and style

Cons:

WAAAAY too short

Lack of replayability or simple additional features to give the game more value or interest (would an arena mode have been SOOOO freaking difficult to add?)

Also, I think the enemy grunts were too difficult to take down in a game where you are a badass heroine.

Problems apart from the tech actually working on a massive scale:

ISPs are still considering bandwidth caps in the US, which would ruin all chance for success in the US market, all the progress in speed upgrades will be for naught.

This would totally affect every other internet user in a household and vice versa.

Disconnects, no matter the quality of the service and server structure, are unavoidable and I just see it as a much larger problem in streaming...

Article needs more work at sounding unbiased.. their little cover, "this should not be viewed as Sony bashing" is a bit too obvious.

As for Little Big Planet on Wii being a success, I doubt one tenth of Wii players would even touch the level creation tools to the extent they have on the PS3 and so if it's just a platformer, how would it compete with the Mario bros franchise?

"Or perhaps a one-man army like Kratos from God of War could make an appearanc...

Most of these are common sense to those who use these features, but this is a pretty comprehensive list, the author should work for Sony.

It's amazing that the people behind the development of all this high tech stuff actually make the ridiculous mistakes they do, like being able to see the ENTIRE XMB while in-game, but you can't interact with 95 percent of it... retards.

"We dreamed of opening with The Beatles and closing with Steven Spielberg and it happened."

Ohhhh, so THAT'S what makes a "historic" E3, now I know and knowing's half the battle. G. I. Joeee!!!

What a restrictive vocabulary the author has... it's unfortunate because he makes a few valid points, but fails in his delivery to really grasp the reader's attention at any place in the article. The entire thing seems so unemotional for a clearly personal subjective opinion.

In regard to the content of the article, I think the XMB is the most practical interface for a console as long as game controllers remain the primary means by which to interact with it.

The war is over when you run out of ammunition and I'd say God of War III and Uncharted 2 are just two bigazz 140 megaton thermonuclear warheads with the words "up yours 360" printed in Bill Gates' mom's bright neon orange liptstick on the casing.

MGS5 won't being using the MGS4 engine and Koji is just now getting "ideas" for the game...

MGS5 MUST be at least three to four years off if you ask me, or, or, or, they can just use THE UNREAL ENGINE!!! Won't that look great!?

Was anybody else enthralled by the musical score like I was? Absolutely heart-wrenching and emotive.

"You're just grasping at straws here..."

I agree with you on that one, except it was more of a superficial attack than anything else. I do firmly believe after having a PS3 that slot loading drives are FAR superior to tray loaders, I mean, the Wii has one for god's sake!!!

360 would go up AT LEAST 2 points (scale of 1-23) for me if they released a slot loading model.

"The Xbox 360 has been a huge success as a platform to develop for. It has simple, elegant, architecture and Microsoft have supported it with good tools, as you would expect from a software company."

... horrible failure rates, proprietary HDDs means the consumer must pay huge cash for comparable space on other consoles, lack of a high def optical drive, i.e no high def media playback outside of the HDD itself or through external drives not to mention the lack of space ...

Does anyone know if there have been any actual gameplay videos released yet, say with a developer commenting, showing maybe a single race and a couple cars or something?

I haven't followed GT5 much and I don't care too much for racers, but I really am getting hyped for this title especially with PSP compatibility.

Thanks

I'm selling my PS3s, NOW!!! But, who would buy such a piece of crap?

6202d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I haven't bought or wanted to buy a racing game in a decade (except for burnout, soon to download), but god I want GT 5... and the little PSP brother, Little Turismo ;)

I'm not the disagreer, but I think the download title, Battlefield 1943 or something or other, using the frostbite engine with the destructibility will be a refreshing experience.

"The physics system in the game needs to be as realistic as possible to even compete with the brilliance of Modern Warfare."

I don't know what amazing physics effects this author thinks are taking place in Modern Warfare or its successor WaW, but good physics would definitely be a plus.
