I was really worried about the commie stuff since the reveal, actually. It seemed like it was setting up the rebellion group to be at least somewhat socialist, and I just can't get into a game where I'm just replacing one awful, oppressive system of government with another one. Especially since, if that's the direction they're going in, it will be fantasy communism straight out of a 19 year old college kid's Marx essay.

That's not even remotely true. Shadow of War, Rainbow Six: Siege, any AssCreed game with loot boxes, Halo 5; those are just the first few I could think of off the top of my head that aren't pay to win at all. In fact, most games that have loot boxes or microtransactions outside of Korean MMO's and phone games aren't pay to win. Try critical thinking instead of moral outrage sometime.
