an egotistical asshat called Microsoft liars? There has to be some kind of amusing twist when the story comes out fully.

Or maybe it has something to do with trying to make sure that if you buy the system you get more use out of it then just gaming. For real gamers they'll be playing their PS4's on their Xbox Ones while playing their Xbox One and looking up a Wiki on their PS4 game

it was never about that... here is another way to look at it... from the game journalist prospective... that's 1 less hour they have to site at the Microsoft E3 press event listening to things that have nothing to do with games at the biggest games conference.

Console world... meet Steam... if the sales and pricing reach Steam levels all of this will be forgotten... also you don't think EA dropped their online pass because just Microsoft is putting in something to deal with the after market do you?

there is plenty to be upset about but the press has present uncertainty as fact... and reading these comments shows a great lack of knowledge.

@DivineAssault if you had to put your personal money on who is going to have the more powerful cloud system who would you wager on?

@ssj27 if you think Gaika gives Sony some kind of network edge you've lost your mind. Gaiki doesn't have a fraction of the current Xbox Live's server power much less what Microsoft is putting out there for the future. I understand you're excited about the future that Gaika brings, and it is interesting and possibly great, but don't get that confused with actual infrastructure. Sony has a long way to go to get Gaika up and running for everyone that will be using PS4 in the ...

unless you start counting cloud computational power... Also each "os" exist on a virtual machine so there is nothing keeping some Microsoft from allowing some developers to eat away at the RAM or even put that virtual machine into a sleep state. Remember when XBLA could only be 512 megs

hiding hate behind "protecting the industry" is laughable at best. Microsoft has a vision and while you may not share it... heck it may even be wrong it's still their vision. Games are going to be there we all know that, but for many the sway may be the other features... or the features that support games like the Game DVR and editing tools on the One. Things are never as bad as you think. As for indies they'll publish their stuff on Microsoft's console... many of them c...

wait for E3 for both companies... remember that both have vague talk about how they will use used games and both haven't shown their trump cards... there is a ton that could sway you one way or the other if you're sitting on the fence

it's smart to wait... there is no reason to get ahead of yourself... if they do let you self publish then you're publishing from windows to windows based OS much easier then to port to another os though with both running X64 processors this will be a boon to indies if both companies have this especially if indies can utilize some of the extra features with Xbox One... perhaps they'll allow intergration with the indie's web site? If I was MS I'd leverage this multitasking h...

Journey was published by Sony and Fez and Bastion initially got their starts through Microsoft who clearly wasn't draconic and made them stay exclusive. Most indie games are on PC and even with a basic rig you'll be able to play 99 percent of them. I'm holding out hope we see some verion of XBLIG as well as the ability to publish apps through the Win8 store to Xbox One.

seems Major Nelson was hinting at something as did Aaron Greenberg... perhaps we'll see some form of XBLIG come to Xbox One also there is the Windows side that theoretically you can put your Win8 game apps on. There are still a ton of things and this is software based so maybe the voice is loud enough that the people who want it in Microsoft will get the boost to give it the go ahead.

As a sim it does leave out a few things... the answer back I normally get is that it's hardly used in baseball anymore or no one does that anymore... well what if I want to create someone who does?.. 95/100 is what I'd give it. It's got almost everything down I just wish they had some kind of autoupdate system

It wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft and Sony are not talking about this specific thing together with all the publishers and developers

here is the key part people...
Nothing is set in stone! So I'm encouraging the moaning and crying... say it load... cry from the top of the hill that you don't want it. Because if the voice is loud enough and there are enough people then maybe Microsoft will do something more consumer friendly.
