my assumption is that none of you have used Eyefinity on multiple monitor setup... there is no jarring issues... your brain will autocorrect for the space... it take very little time to get use to it
It works fine... Eyefinity will adjust for the bezel width
it doesn't matter... Eyefinity setup will correct for bezel width
no it's not
Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 have theoretical limits over 1 TFLOP...
@NathanExplosion it means he isn't allowing irrational bias prevent him from enjoying games on both systems. He's not going to lie to himself and say he doesn't want to play Ucharted or that Halo is crap he's going to play both franchises
He's making a horrible assumption... it most certainly will be using the Win8 Kernel, but it's not going to be running the whole OS... if it does run OS it'll be extreamly stripped down and the OS itself doesn't come close to using 3 gigs of ram... more like 1 gig and if you take out all the services that wont be needed you're talking about 256 megs maybe 512, but 1 gig at most.
No... the Xbox 360 had the same basic setup as the new system... the 32 megs is so they can fit a whole frame at 1080p into the ESRAM. What also annoys me is this guy is acting like the Xbox 360's GPU isn't running nearly at 100 percent efficiency. It's the most efficient GPU on any system anywhere. ATI was puffing their chest out about it when the details were released. That was back when NVidia didn't believe in unified shader technology... how times have change
Amusingly this was the whole reason they got into the console business... Sony used their console as a Trojan horse to win the HD disk war and Microsoft is using Xbox to win the living room... if you had to choose between and Xbox and a regular old cable/sat box what would you choose? Microsoft views the two entertainments as equals. Also I find it funny that the huge sales that Microsoft has every week for Gold Members never makes it anywhere on N4G
so you wouldn't want a console that automatic kept itself updated with newest firmware and updated your games while you were not using it? There are positives to having a always connected device
Steam... it works ok (though it was a pile of garbage for a long time)
@sengoku
1. Everything is rumor...
2. Always Online doesn't mean Required Online
3. All of Microsofts new (including the Xbox 360) product use the "Metro" style interface first used on Zune HD
4. You're the same person who when asked what exclusives the Xbox has can only name 2... 3 at the max.
5. You don't sum anything up you're just being contrite.
Gabe pioneered the idea with HL2 and any game that uses Steampowered is always-online through Steam. Play a game on steam that uses Steam and then alt-tab and close steam and see how long you can play that game -_-
you still don't get it... Sony could reveal their plans early to counter this, but they wont... just like Microsoft wasn't going to be forced to reveal any of their cards Sony isn't going to be forced to reveal anything else
You're "mindshare" has nothing to do with your purchase preference right now... for all you know Microsoft could announce free games for all and that's about as likely as them making it so you can't play games without a connection to the internet.
Yes... he's just "some guy"... everyone knew Krazy Ken no one knows this guy... not even the guy in charge of the Xbox
You've all been had... up till this "leak" it was all PS4 all day every day... Microsoft leaks out just enough info to get the Sony fanboys all riled up and completely flip this conversation back to Microsoft. Microsoft and Sony's only concern right now is mind share... Microsoft has everyone's attention and come E3 every eye from every fanboy on all sides will be riveted to that press conference ... it's crazy, but I think this was all started by Microsoft on purpo...
the difference is that was said by the head of Sony's entertainment division this was just some guy
if you do things right and push the right buttons you can make a ton of money on XBLIG... both of the main Minecraft clones have sold upwards to a million
many of the games already have Xbox native controller support
