they can rely on it... it'll be an online only game... lots of testing will go into the validicy of the game using the cloud and how much that may/may not cut into sales/profits. A game that uses MP can utilize the cloud especially games like CoD and BF because most of the users are buying it to game online.
this only works if there starts be a clear advantage to putting your higher risk games on the Xbox One... that means things that are not heavily relient on MP as a main aspect... those games protect themselves... wonder how fast it will take for hackers to try and find some kind of loop hole and I also wonder if develoeprs can opt out of the 24 hour check as well
truthfully I wonder if it's because of the possible restructuring of Microsoft? I doubt some confusion would make them do this... but if the restructuring plans are going through that means a major shift in power all over the company

This makes sense if they are using the FX/FX2 line of processors modified with GPU on a chip instead of using the APU.... but the APUs are so low powered and with the huge fan... just don't see it as being possible

DRM is Digital Rights Management... all modern consoles have some form of DRM... all modern consoles required a digital signiture... unmodded systems do not run unsigned code. First hand shake doesn't equal always online and can be done with physical media (as the current Xbox does it... a form of "always on" drm that requires the disc be always in the tray for that game to play).
