yes... but right now we see tons of head room on the Ryzen 7s right now... hopefully that gets used in the future
this is a processor that will be good for them... they can literally save thousands on builds for streaming and other video works.
A 8 core 16 thread CPU will never be the best bet when running most games.... that's just life. This is the same issues Intel owners have as well... for now still better to run 4 cores at a huge clock speed... this will change with time and for professionals the Ryzen chip is still a great buy.
the difference between these chips will only grow worse in favor of AMD as more and more of the industry starts using only next generation APIs and starts to abandon OpenGL and DX11
exceptions will always exist... but they will always be exceptions
The male model is superb so the idea it's lazy modeling seems suspect
yeah, this site has its crazies... even people who have a bunch of accounts and those who actually stalk people or research things others said months or even years ago as if the past will tell you the definitive truth of the present.
this is the ignorance that pisses me off... just some different games that Microsoft has in their control: Age of Empires, Black and White, Blinx, Blue Dragon, Crimson Skies, Hydro Thunder, Jetpac, Kung Fu Chaos, MechAssault, MechWarrior, Monster truck Madness, Ninety-Nine Nights, Phantom Dust, PGR, R.C. Pro-Am, Rise of Ledgends, Voodoo Vince, Sudeki, Sneakers, Wizards & Warriors, Zoo Tycoon.... just a few
best streaming service right now... even regular streaming is 1-2 seconds vs 10-30 for Twitch and YouTube
what makes you think Microsoft would not put their software on competing devices? Is there any president for them not doing it? Blue Dragon was on the DS and so was Viva Pinata... Minecraft is on and constantly updated for the PlayStation's platforms. Hell even Office and other software is on the Mac and iOS... even Andriod
it'll eventually happen... it makes little sense for Microsoft to ignore any large platform and Beam is significantly better for streaming then YouTube or Twitch even the regular streaming is 1-2 second delay vs the horrible delay in twitch and youtube
I don't care if you like it or not... it's giving gamers a choice and that's the only thing that matters... if people want to take a chance on a game that's an individual choice who are we to make the choice for them?
Are we full of idiots on N4G? The X1S showed boost in frame rate why would the Scorpio that's 4-5x more powerful do anything other then cap off FPS and Resolution on any game that allows it? Even in games with hard caps you will see frame dips go away. There is no need for a "boost mode"
this game is truly horrible, but if you can catch it for a couple of dollars you can get some funny reactions on twitch streaming it
A lot of developers don't care about you and Microsoft has already said they won't force developers to put a game on the Xbox One if the developer doesn't want to. Why buy a Xbox One? Because you know all the games and devices you buy for the system will work with the Scorpio whenever you choose to purchase that system.
is it really? It's a pretty steep difference in power low/medium to Ultra settings kind of difference. The benefit of these being, essentially, Windows 10 PCs is that developers will be building for both consoles while they build for the PC. I think that in late 2018 you'll start to see this shift especially if the system gets off to a strong start.
I love this game
saw a video where this head was on a model in the PS4 Pro version *shrugs*
fanning the stupid console war... it's clearly a different head model... if anyone thinks that Ubisoft went in and made a different head just for the PS4 version you're crazy
actually the 1700 is pretty low powered... 65w if Microsoft does some tinkering then I'm guess you'll see something around 120 watts (around what the X1 was) for the APU... assuming they use Ryzen... and I really hope they do. Even if the CPU is slightly less powerful if it has 16 threads rather then just 8 cores 8 threads that could be a huge factor for developers
