@theindiearmy
Yet again you missed the point. If it was a simple Microsoft is taking games away waaahhhh as you put it then they would've been complaining about it regarding the zenimax purchase...I'd argue those games are worth complaining about more.
The issue in this case is the amount of guaranteed revenue from cod. But the bigger issue is that this is a monopolistic event. They already bought a bunch of big triple A multiplatform publishers but now the...
Humankind? Don't they mean mankind?
@indiearmy
Wrong yet again. Sonys not saying that they cant buy a studio and make games for microsoft only. They are saying that they shouldnt be able to buy a studio that is making, was making, and would continue to make games for playstation.
@theindiearmy
Failed games and since they werent 1st party they were able to create games for other platforms if they wanted to. The point is that the majority of the time the big devs were not making these decisions and when they did it was likely an effort to seek partnership or possible better publishers. Normal practice in any business.
The point argued is that sony doesnt buy up huge IP or publishers to keep them off competitors. The point argued is that Sony ...
And many more we likely dont know about. I find this uncertainty exciting since it means that theres a lot unannounced from sony.
I don't think it does make much difference. This is a bit of a boring article.
One thing is a for 3rd parties to absorb other 3rd parties. Microsoft is a platform holder than can buy up the gaming industry. Just because theyre not on top doesnt mean they wont kick and scream their way up there using brute force.
Nope..theyre not doing the same. How is it the same? They have 1st party content that has never been anywhere else but the playstation.
Microsoft wants to and has grabbed 3rd party content and made it permanently exclusive. Not even close buddy.
Not exactly. Microsoft used it to hype their games...somehow the cloud would make their games better, graphically and technically...remember crackdown?
Here it's just about development workflow.
I usually don't keep more than 3 games installed at once so don't need this product at all. Always nice to have more space but have never had the space issue on a recent Console. I remember space issues during the memory stick period.
Don't bother. I'll sell you mine for cheaper at that point and use that money for the PS6.
But that's not how it works. And no...you don't get annoyed. Spoken like someone who hasn't experienced it.
How do you get people to buy into gamepass? Well you get temporary exclusivity along side a days release. People accusing Sony of being the only ones to buy temporary exclusivity when Xbox has not stopped doing this since 360 days. They simply have a harder time making the deals when devs know that they'll sell the most in the competing platform.
Ark is awesome though so a good add to gamepass regardless.
@orchard
The new ps plus is not a reaction to gamepass.
Gamepass is a reaction to ps now and a deep realization that games barely sell on Xbox anyways.
Ps now existed before gamepass and therefore no iteration of it can be a complete reaction to a future product.
Mental gymnastics is strong with this one.
Cdprojekt isn't worth much. They're also the only devs...practically...given out free expansions and content. They don't monetize the shit out of their game and don't regurgitate the same crap every year or iteration.
In my book that's very defensible. Especially since we know that they went from a small studio to a really large on all of a sudden. They probably didn't have the managerial experience for handling a project the size of cyberpunk with s...
Unlockables are part of the game. They've been a part of videogames for a really long time.
Getting unlockables is ....or used to be fun. Now due to monetization they are indeed hellish.
Hey at least they're making their intentions clear. Now there's no doubt 5he direction of Diablo 4. I'm thankful for the release of overwatch 2...now I have no doubt their games will be crap.
Fashion is endgame. Gamers knew this before devs. Now devs are taking advantage of gamers by monetizing the endgame.
Of all 5hings to monetize why monetize something that seems so optional.
Nope. He causes no harm. What power does he have to discredit anything. He has an opinion. Everyone does. His opinion or the opposite opinion cause no harm.
Sexual harassment needs criminal investigations. Until that's done there is no real justice and any action made before that is not justice.
