This is a feature specific to the online multiplayer component of this game. Somehow people freak out about the internet connection required for the physics, yet seem to forget that you need internet to play multiplayer with or without this feature.

Cloud compute cannot work without an online connection. It's a simple fact. That's the whole point of the word cloud. There is absolutely no way to provide that tech without an internet connection.

I'm right back in now. I complained about a lot of things but the truth is the leveling system is what drove me away from Destiny. I'm a sucker for farming, but I've always hated games that give zero experience for kills. I'll play all day every day as long as I can see a little progress from my kills. Finally farming resources will be more exciting than simply running from point to point avoiding enemies because they offer nothing of value.

Console gaming has changed a ton since the PS3 and 360 launched. Console gamers now have large digital libraries of games attached to online profiles. You don't need to have a pile of discs from the previous generation laying around to access your old games.
Anyone with a Steam library recognizes how important it is to have access to your digital library regardless of the hardware you're using.
Lumens is a rating of the amount of light being produced by the light source. Lamp based light sources are extremely inefficient, which is why these projectors have to produce massive Lumens ratings to function.
Lasers focus all of their energy on a specific point, thus being far more efficient in projecting light than a lamp. Since the light is extremely focused, and not bouncing all over the room, far less light is required to project a comparably bright image.
Console fanboys make up a tiny % of the gaming community. Sure they may be vocal, but if you think the "console war" is why people didn't buy a WiiU I'm afraid you're sorely mistaken.

I was thinking the same thing to be honest.
People who have played the original know that Crackdown relies heaviliy on verticality. The agility orb concept simply wouldn't work without buildings to climb.
