@morganfell
I actually agree with most of what you said in your first post (shocking lol). I think that it would be great if there were bonuses to being connected to the servers in the form of extra content (not what's already on-disc and locked though, because that's BS). Also, internet radio would be amazing if they could have high quality sound. I hate that tinny distortion you get from low quality streams, and it would hurt the immersion factor if not implemented ...
I'm kinda embarrassed... For a while, every time I saw MK8, I would think people are using a shorthand for Mortal Kombat 8, to which I would ask myself: "that already came out a while back - why is it a big deal now?"
Glad to know it's actually Mario Kart lol
@Lukas
For real - I was approaching Skyrim levels of time played in Witcher 2, and that was semi-linear (in terms of areas you can play in). I can't even imagine how crazy it's going to be in an open world.
So true - developing specifically for the hardware generation you are releasing on is the only way to get the appropriate look of a next-gen game.
It's not the most visually impressive next-gen game, but it definitely looks better than last gen versions. Regardless, the game is a blast to play and runs rock solid for me. Definitely has that old school feel.
Definitely one of my most anticipated games.
Thank god N4G and the internet is here to tell me what I will or won't be disappointed in. That way, I don't have to find out for myself or make an informed decision or anything antiquated like that.
That was amazing, Lukas lol
I see way more PS4 fans talking about the power difference than Xbox fans. And by talking, I mean repeatedly shoving it in Xbox fans' faces while still holding back tears of last generation when the evil Xbox fans made fun of them because of blades of grass being missing and some texture pop-in. Seriously, the victim card is so played out at this point, that you would think that Sony fans had hate crimes committed against them.
But as to caring - I'm sure that some wi...
Cool! Hope it works!
I'd add Powerstar Golf. Very fun game.
@Neonridr
"While the 360 usually edged out the PS3 in multiplats last gen, the differences weren't as staggering as they are now."
Define 'staggering'. From a quantitative standpoint, sure, the number of pixels seems like a lot. However, in motion, on an actual TV screen, the difference is not as huge as many people would want you to believe. When you have to pause a game, and blow up a screen shot to three times the original size to spo...
@SITH
Have you tried deleting and redownloading Upload Studio? I was having a problem where sound was muted in my recordings, but after I did that, it was fine. Maybe it will work for you.
Oh, THIS guy lol
Hopefully he utilizes a more quiet approach.
@SilentNegotiator
"Instead of trying to manipulate their fanbase, they should be honest for once. Xbone isn't selling as much as they would like and a lot of people have expressed interest in a cheaper, Kinect-less Xbone - how is that so hard to say?"
Because no company in the world is ever going to say something like that. To parallel in the gaming world, Sony didn't say that when they removed backwards compatibility and the card reader in ...
@jnemesh
1. IR isn't industry standard? I just bought a brand TV and a sound bar and they are both IR-controlled. Just about every piece of equipment at Best Buy is IR controlled.
2. IR code updates can be done via software update. However, I agree that custom codes would be better. However, again, you're talking about a minority here.
3. There is a setting in the TV and OneGuide section that lets you choose which components respond to Xbox...
The sad parts are:
a. that was probably a real submission.
b. it was probably not the only one.
@Aurenar
I can't see them completely shutting down development on PS360 while there are still so many people who haven't gone next-gen at this point. However, making games designed for next-gen and then downported to PS360 (if possible) is better than going for some kind of parity-based middle ground by starting with the older consoles and working up.
Calling the release of an unpolished and semi-functional title "doing a Battlefield 4" = shots fired lol
People would enjoy their consoles much more if they stopped worrying so much about what the other guy has going on. I'm more excited about a potential boost to Xbox One performance than I am with it catching up to the PS4.
