"^You guys sure were crying over MGS4 the entire generation."
Actually, it was the PlayStation guys who rubbed MGS4 in the Xbox guys' faces for the entire generation. But hey - believe whatever you want.
Maybe like a phone where you press and hold two buttons simultaneously. Maybe the Home button and Select/Start (I refuse to call them Menu and whatever the other is).
Genuinely good game. You don't need microtransactions - just progress normally.
I played the hell out of it until Titanfall came out. Might go back to it in a little bit because it is so damned fun. You are in for a treat.
Pro tip: use the cactus like a marksman class in an FPS and you will rack up kills and defense points.
I absolutely love how certain people are trying to change the history of this site. It's like the Klan trying to say that they were ones who had crosses burned on their yards back in the day. But, let's assume that their warped view of the facts is true for a second.
@Hellsvacancy
"I remember N4G before the PS3 became popular "Mafia 2 has no grass? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
I have some memories of N4G from last generation too... ...
That is more than some people will spend for an entire console generation.
Edit: Maybe two or even three generations.
I feel you there. It might end up being a GOTY contender by default unless a bunch of truly high quality games come out.
That being said, I played the hell out of it last night and enjoyed my time.
Now THIS is the kind of parity that I think we can all get behind.
I hope Xbox uses Azure servers and PS uses Sony servers because EA's are pretty bad.
I hope this content that they speak of isn't of the downloadable variety and is going to be part of the full retail release.
I blame clickbait titles lol
@MasterCornholio
I don't understand when you say: "what they did with the last of us". They gave it a 7.5. The text of the review was consistent with the score. It was not the lowest score the game received and it wasn't the only one in that range of scores.
As to Polygon's startup being funded by Microsoft, sure, but so what? Microsoft funds a lot of things. So does Sony. So do other large corporations in the video game world and beyond...
@Volitiel
"...I haven't read the article..."
Therein lies your problem. The author does not trash the game.
Try reading the article. Campbell not only does not bash it, but he said that it is fun.
Arthur Gies is the only real problem on Polygon. The rest of the reviewers are fair and they have some of the best gaming-related articles on the internet.
I marked out when I saw "Batman" and "Beyond" in the same title. Then I realized that they weren't in succession and lost the feel.
I love how "Help Is On The Way" by Rise Against starts playing right as the player almost runs a pedestrian over.

@BitbDeath
KZ2 certainly looked great on release, but come on - the particle and smoke effects, animations. lighting, and general fluidity were eons ahead in the E3 trailer. In fact, even on NEXT GEN hardware, we haven't seen a game that plays like that in terms of smooth transitions and such.
Regardless, my original point was that a tech demo shouldn't be on the list, and that TLOU should.
@xpgINSANITY
Watch any fighting game event. They play a lot of different games. Each fighting game has a different style, and just because you are good at or even enjoy one does not mean that the same will be true for another. There is room in the FGC for all games, and one doesn't lose popularity simply because a new one comes out.
