They're really not comparing Apples to apples. GTA is rooted in a slightly more realistic world with a more realistic crime caper story. SR is the comedic tongue in cheek cousin.
Kinda like Scary movie to Scream.
If comparing anything I would say compare GTA to Sleeping Dogs.
To be perfectly honest with you, I never much liked Half Life. I tried the first one, I got tired of it pretty quick. I tried the 2nd one, again, I grew bored quickly. Admittedly, though, the games from them that I have gotten into, I REALLY got into. L4D2 is still played weekly on my Xbox.

Point well taken but still. How many years since the last Star Craft or Diablo? Look at how they were(and still are) met with criticism. They weren't known to be experiencing troubled development or financial issues.

I have no idea who's better for Indies because I've never tried to develop a game. I do know that the fact that every XBoxOne console can be used to develop Indie titles will certainly make for an interesting generation. I think it would open the doors for many weekend warriors and their friends who have always wanted to try to make something and it could well help to usher in some new and entertaining stories/concepts.
I had an awesome thing happen to me the other day with vehicles. I was rocking out with the sub and got bored after a while and switched characters. Next time I went back to Franklin, I walked out of the house and was greeted by the sub sitting in my driveway. Was very impressive.

GTA is crashing on older systems? I've been playing GTA on my launch 20GB system and my 120GB Elite system....All is well on this homefront. Finished the game yesterday even.

Interesting...so will this have it's own hardware or will heavy duty gaming PCs still be required to do all the heavy lifting and this is just a streaming interface?
I have multiples of both consoles pre-ordered but as far as the launch line up, MS has what I deem to be a more compelling series of features and games. Who knows what happens down the road but regardless, for me it won't matter because I'll have both systems and able to enjoy the best of both worlds.
