He's right...ignore the disagrees. It's just N4G's Random Disagree Monster...he gets loose from time to time, especially in topics like this.
Really?
Sales numbers seem to suggest otherwise.
Seems to me that all three consoles are doing pretty well.
One final tribute to one of the best.
Question is, how will the Madden curse affect a retired player...fall off a ladder, maybe? (I kid, I kid).
Quintuple funky fish mosher!
Rate the hookers? Skanks, but no skanks, man.
I'd rather look at Natalie Portman. That's just me.
I am the proud owner of a 360 Elite and a Wii, and will soon own a PS3. Each system has its merits, something for everyone to play or do. That was a nice surprise from your wife...be sure to reward her accordingly! ;)
Enjoy your systems, mate. And as you've discovered, Achievements are like gaming crack...once your hooked, it's a tough addiction to fight!
Chances are, by the time the next GTA game will be ready, there will be another Xbox on the horizon, with a bigger medium for storage (Blu-Ray? Something else?)
It will be a few years. A lot can change in the meantime. But MS definitely will need something bigger than DVD-9 for their next system.
Way to spread the awesomeness, Insomniac.
Master Chief...?
Gordon Freeman...?
Thanks for the reply. You know, I used to be a 360 fanboy...but after spending some time with a friend's PS3 and purchasing a Wii, I have greater appreciation for the different things each console brings to the table.
I also remembered a basic tenet of Capitalism 101--that strong competition is good for the industry. I hope we've seen the last of the days of single-console dominance.
Next year, I'll be buying a PS3--mostly for Blu-Ray--along with a new HDTV, so I'll...
Something about the idea of playing God brings out the sadist in me...will I be a kind and benevolent God? An angry and vengeful God?
I know! I'll create two opposing societies that both worship me and then watch them nuke each other out of existence, a la Bender...
Seriously, though, this game will ROCK...assuming it ever sees the light of day. Hopefully it will be out before Christmas.
Amazing recovery...remember a year ago, when they were just sitting on shelves?
Now it's truly a three-horse race...great for the industry and for gamers.
Did this guy lose money investing in Sega? Four of his five "worst" picks are Sega systems...seems to me he's picking on them.
He's waaaay too harsh on the Dreamcast, which failed, to be sure, but wasn't a bad system. Same with the Genesis, which had some great games and gave Nintendo a run for its money in the early 90s.
The fact that he overlooks the 3DO and CD-I tells me he didn't put a lot of thought into this list.
Hmmmmmmmmm.....no.
It might make Wii games look better...maybe improve textures, color, and the like...but PS3 or 360 graphics?
Nope.
I have a Wii, and I sure as hell didn't buy it for the graphics.
I remember lusting after this game before launch, wishing it was available on my 360...
...and then the game launched, and it was, for lack of a better word, broken...
...and now, they've fixed it...
...which means that when I get a PS3 next year, I will be buying Lair.
Agreed...see my comment below.
Don't read too much into this, people...and here's why:
Best Buy uses the same security cases for computer memory as they do for video games. The "installation" stickers are intended for computer memory, not the games themselves. The same thing happens at my store.
Someone screwed up, to be sure...those stickers should NEVER be on the outside of the cases, but rather, on the product itself. Unless those signs were accompanied by a batch of Geek Squad brochu...
Anything that helps combat the spread of that filth is welcomed.
Assuming this article is true, maybe making it public will help resolve her problem. No company likes bad publicity.
Wow, I think I got an Ignore out of this post...
