While some games are not compatible with ps5 the number is tiny. All games made now for PS4 have to run on PS5 as a release requirement.

I think there are circumstances where live service is valid, MMORPGs certainly. I think that is a fair relationship. It’s the idea of making every project encompass these elements.
If games are not making money, then work at a smaller scale I’d rather back smaller, focussed, less resource heavy titles. Look at something as critically acclaimed as Disco Elysium the developers were obviously able to work an excellent idea into a successful project by working within their me...

In contrary nurturing nomadic software houses like Obsidian is a good fit for acquisition it gives them resources and stability.

I think some developers will update their games. Sony would be crazy not to port/update Rescue Mission as it’s one of the best titles ever.
Thief reboot was not made by the same studio. That was Eidos Montreal.
Arkane made Dishonored which is a far better game, with a similar tone and amazing DLC. They also did the most recent Prey which is also pretty good.

I somehow barely ran into bugs when I played it, it ran smoothly on weaker hardware than yours, I stopped playing because I was not having much fun with it. I am not sure the fixes will help with that, CDPR have a history of releasing buggy games.

There is no justification for it being so poor. As a child I could discern what I was playing.
