They bought Criterion for their middleware engine Renderware I believe. But the studio was a bonus.
I enjoy Mario Kart but the rubber banding AI makes me feel like I am in a Gatcha game or something, the original game did not have it.
I think opinion articles are a sign that there are not enough new games or franchises coming out, this has been a quiet generation with the odd good title (indies games still are in a good place). I remember I used to click on gaming sites to see a snippet of news about a new game/console, maybe the odd exciting rumour. Now it is hot takes about oldish games and tedious culture wars nonsense or tedious console war nonsense from sites called things like “ThumbTriggerz”. . I realise arguing on ...
You made an account especially for this, Izzard?
It’s probably a handful of factors
How do you feel about the core of the game?
How much is precision a key element of the game? A janky platformer or shooter may suffer more than an open world RPG.
Does jank work with the premise? like in Silent Hill 2, he’s just “an ordinary guy”. Deadly Premonition is surreal and awkward in every sense.
Does it have cool world design, narrative or lore? These things go a long way fo...
We know why you shoehorn the word “woke” into conversations, it’s called being tedious. This move makes absolute sense narratively. She was already playable in chapters of the previous game which nobody would even begin to suggest was “woke”.
Both are good games, RR6 looks very slightly better, but this post is not about that.
It does feel like a different beast to Activision , but cheering on a business acquisition that brings nothing new to the table is generally pretty stupid. The ideal world would have both of these companies trying to invest in and make better games and hardware. That‘s where competition is valuable, in this world all gamers lose.
Whereas acquisitions can benefit smaller studios like Obsidian.as it allows them to make bigger games in a more stable environment.

So disappointing Sony stopped supporting VR. Hopefully this will have some boosts and Polyphony recognise that it is one of the best ways to experience the hardware when they make actual changes.
I am heartened by the headline. I value modern gaming but also want to experience a variety of flavours in my games. I am still skeptical, but slightly less so.
Demon’s Souls was also developed by Sony Japan and From. Which received a remake.
It’s just a really bad title Quejjyl. It looks so weird in that font too. The game will be much better I am sure.
Two different games by two different developers run at different frame rates? What does this mean regarding hardware?
The PS4 has a 25th anniversary model that goes for almost 4 times the amount of the standard edition, so this is not true. Even the pink PS2 goes for a reasonable amount.
Since Sony is happy to rerelease things needlessly: maybe now would be the time to port Astro Bot Rescue Mission to PSVR2. The clarity and improved hardware would actually merit an update and may sell more VR units.
One of the best games most people have never played.
It’s one of the few titles I’d buy again so soon.
The last Astro Bot was pre installed and free. Maybe it was an article framed around this.
I think you just don’t like stealth, this is fine.
So you find nothing wrong with being gay? But are fixated on this minor detail that barely has any bearing on the game?
Seriously buddy, you can just let that go from your life you’ll be happier. Even if they turn out to be terrible at the job, I guarantee it will have nothing to do with a flag in a profile any more than what laundry detergent they use.
@jwillj2k4
It’s only you shoehorning your political agenda into this topic which was not even mentioned in the article and has literally nothing to do with recent failings of the franchise. Seriously, it’s so tedious.
