Grim Fandango is Awesome...for those that like point and click style adventures. I used to play these kinds of games all the time.
I just played a little of Ryse again last night, it'd been a while... I don't care what anyone says, it's still the best looking game so far this gen.
Seems like someone wrote a whole piece on an article (submitted by a known Sony-fanboy-troll intended at picking a fight), and clearly only read the title.
Get all three consoles and a PC so that you can play all the games you want, that's how you prove you're a real gamer...everything else is just opinion. The only thing resembling a "fact" that can be made to say that any console is "the console of real gamers" is the fact that X1 does have the ...
Seems like you and I are on the same track, but I'd add FH2, Sunset Overdrive and MCC to my most anticipated X1 exlusives. Unless you count indies there is Ori as well, and now that Kinect is an option D4 has be intrigued. (obviously Halo 5 and Gears as well, but those seem way off).
Oops I forgot Fable (although I admit that, while I'll get and probably like legends, I REALLY want another "basic" Fable...or even just a straight-forward MMORPG version).
Almost certainly Halo Wars 2...those kinds of games aren't really my cup of tea, but I'd love if they made a Halo Spin-off that was an MMO-RPG
Agreed, getting all three is the way to go. However not everyone can afford all three right away. If you can't, my suggestion is that you go for the X1 first, being as it has most of the same games as PS4, but a better exclusive lineup for the foreseeable future (definitely in the short-term), and with games leading towards seamless online play XBL is the better network. X1 has the best UI and controller of the 3 IMO as well.
When you can get a second, grab the Wii U...
Whatever dude bro, I have all the consoles and even though my PS4 has more powerful hardware it's still my least favorite of the three after I look at the bigger picture. I still have love for it, which is why I got it, and every other PS till now. Sony is a fine company but her fanboys suck. Screaming and yelling at people just because they have a different opinion won't change their mind, and spitting out random unchecked "facts" doesn't prove that one system is mor...
"Next Gen"? So is it delayed until PS5? The new gen is already here.
Well, it's not popular around here, but the original didn't deserve a 10. It was a very good game, but to me a 10/10 means it's perfect, and it wasn't. It had a great story and voice acting till the end when it all went to crap, the MP was a complete waste of time, and the gameplay was fine, but nothing special...pretty much just walking from cutscene to cutscene with a few Qte's thrown in...which is fine because it fits the story telling type of game that it is...but it...
Sweet, I'm always down with new games on the horizon, hopefully it turns into something I'm interested in
By far XBL, not even a comparison really.
Since people on this page are all about numbers to prove a point...this is the one area where either console has complete dominance by numbers. As of early 2013 it was XBL more than 300k dedicated servers to Sony less than 15k (still less than old XBL). Sony isn't even on the top ten of companies with dedicated servers and number 10 now has 30k, funny how in this argument numbers all the sudden mean nothing on n4g. Not to menti...
Pathetic comparison. Contrast could be a capture issue and a poor adjustment, not to mention screen tearing could be the same, and compressing to gifs doesn't do much to help. Other than that, they are identical...if anything it's proving there is no point in comparing.
Comparisons this gen yield less differences then ever, and when they do, it's like this where they are intentionally captured differently. This gif proves nothing at all, it doesn't prove th...
I'm not aware of anyone anymore saying that DX12 will be a magic bullet for X1. I'm not sure why this keeps getting brought up, it only seems to ever get brought up when someone wants to shoot it down. Like this article, which is written very much in the style of a fanboy looking for a way to rant. You can tell by the phrasing and approach of the article that there is an agenda to it. There is so much wrong with it, but I will just hit a few points:
"we checke...
Exactly, that's a very short-term vision. I think a lot of people are jumping the gun on this, and only showing that they don't quite understand how this works. Titanfall 2 very well MAY come to PS4, they have not said that it won't, but they have also just as carefully not said that it will. Considering that PSN doesn't have the network structure to support the game at this time, being that Sony snubbed their nose at Respawn when they presented the idea, and being that Res...
Nice the listening has been working so far, it's good to see a company as huge as MS still realize that they need to cater to their customer, and Phil has been great at driving this point home. The future looks bright for X1 and MS.
Side note: I see that our newest neighborhood troll is once again the first to comment on a Pro-X1/MS article. How does he have 7 bubbles in a week? ...all he does is troll. Well, his next level trolling makes me notice something. Has anyo...
In Sony's defense, those tags are probably all one person, it's how people like that can troll non-stop and still have tons of bubbles. I find myself talking against Sony/her games often for JUST this reason...because her fanboys have become so obnoxious that it's ridiculous. It's not even that I don't like Sony, it's just to try to bring the fanboys back down to earth. I do like my X1 more than PS4 at the moment, but I have no love-loss for Sony itself...just her ign...
I agree, as long as the framerate is steady, open-world racing games get a little leeway on the framerate. Need for Speed Rivals was 1080p 30fps and ran great.
Yes, this is the reason that there is only one good game at a time. It is the best looking game, and all other games now suck.
Eonjay is right, KZ and inFamous were both rather good looking games, yet despite that, they both missed the mark they were going for and weren't as good of games as they looked, therefore graphics cannot overcome bad gameplay. Like Ryse, they looked good, and were decent games, but their great graphics could not save them and make them exceptiona...
Because American companies for the most part take the lead on this, they haven't sat back on their heals like many other countries. Those other countries are more than welcome to start making games they feel represent their audience...plus let's not pretend that games that Americans like are all that different than those that others like
VGCHartz....nuff said...but being as it's all we have to go on for the moment....based on this RUMOR (and how much VGChartz was fact last time):
Nice there's starting to be more competition again. MS is doing well in the territories that it's in, it's weak spots are in Europe and Japan still...where it has little to no presence. Releasing in more of those countries won't instantly close the gap or anything, but not being there for 8 months and counting, ...
