All those games you listed except for Flight Simulator (which really isn't even a game) are low budget in the terms of "AAA" game development.
Ori is an indie, Flight Simulator isn't a game and it was created by Asobo which is an independent developer Outer worlds wasn't published or created by Microsoft and Gears Tactics is a low budget spin off.
cigi just because Microsoft doesn't shut up hyping their product doesn't mean Sony has too as well.
All the information about the PS5 hardware is out there already. Mark Cerny discussed Geometry Engine during his presentation and if you want more information about what it is you just have to look for it. You can even read the patent if you want.
cigi, do you not understand that it's a custom chip?
It's a custom chip "BASED ON RDNA 2"
They took the RDNA 2 design and added their own features, Geometry Engine is Sony's (Mark Cerny is the patent holder) design. Rumor has it that Geometry Engine may even be a RDNA 3 feature.
But the basic thing you need to understand is what a custom chip design is. And FYI SX is a custom design based on RDNA 2 as well.
Why do people always talk about these really expensive old games? If you were being charged that much it was a store marking up the prices way above MSRP.
Despite not having been officially acknowledged, PlayStation 5 will indeed be fully utilizing Variable Rate Shading (VRS) for next-generation games.
In a recent PlayStation 5-related discussion on NeoGAF, the lead artist from Activision pointed out how VRS will help developers create systems that can procedurally generate higher quality assets on t...
So since the delay they have hired two contractors and a bunch on new hires yet Phil was trying to pass this game off as ready to go a month ago. If it wasn't for the backlash this game would have been shipped completely unfinished. And you can see how unfinished it was going to be by how much last minute money they are throwing at it.
All this really does is further my belief that Microsoft and Phil are totally incompetent.
You are in some serious denial, they have hired not one but two contractors (maybe even more) to work on the game because the game was so unfinished.
But I guess that's how xbox fans are, they don't even care how unfinished the games they are shoveled are. Just slap a Halo title on any old pile of crap and it's enough for you guys.
That is exactly what GaaS is. Games as a Service, a game that is on a ten year plan that sells MTX (paid add ons and DLC) to fund continued development is the literal definition of GaaS.
How have you have been on this site daily for years and you don't know what GaaS is?
They won't the games will be the same or less content next gen. I guess all the apologists will get what they want and now we all have to pay more for games with even more manipulative MTX BS added in I'm sure.
Well I'm in *fingers crossed* I get most of the promotions and have been in several beta tests they've done so hopefully i'll be invited, but we'll see.
Let's be fair here, PUBG has been on the service for like 6-8 months and SFV is just one of seven games they added that month. There are like 848 on Now that aren't SFV and PUBG. And next month PSNow will get new games like it does every month.
darthv72, as usual incorrect. PS4 has given tons of day one games in the past, earlier in the gen when they were giving out indies (like Fall Guys) on PS+ for PS4 they were almost always day 1 releases.
And I imagine it will be much the same next gen for PS5 games.
