What are you doing to your controllers?
My launch controller still works perfectly fine.
Who said that about Anthem? That game was getting trashed long before it even released.
Let's not get it twisted. This game got TONS of hate after that first gameplay reveal. People were complaining a out the slow looking Combat, showing looked like an Uncharted clone, and how it looked boring with uninspired levels and enemies that died in one shot. That seemed to be the general consensus on this site.
It wasn't until very recently when we started hearing about all these good interviews and first impressions of the game that people started really jump...
Having this opinion sucks, to be honest. There's nothing wrong at all with companies creating characters of different races. Not when you consider how 90% of all popular superheroes were created in the 50's and 60's and are white males. I get wanting to have some representation out there.
This is actually what they SHOULD be doing. Because if they aren't doing this, then they are race-swapping white male characters with people of color, which I find disresp...
I never understood why Kamala Khan is so popular. Despite what people on this site seem to think, when it comes to the comics, she does have a rather large following. And she's getting her own Disney+ show.
Again, I don't get it either. I've disliked her since day one because she's a stupid character.
The problem with a lot of people and their arguments is that they call everything SJW BS these days. It's okay to create a character ...
I paid for the ship upgrades and still lost like half my crew lol
I don't care what anyone says, I thought the game looked great in the gameplay video.
I get that its EA. I really do. Which is why I'm being cautiously optimistic. The game itself looked great, and to me it looked like the only thing that could possibly hold it back is EA jamming a bunch of MT's in it, making it grind-heavy to try and force MT purchases, and just outright monetization in general.
I've learned my lesson with EA. I won't...
"Guerilla marketing and defamation campaigning"?
Did you not see Microsoft's Xbox One reveal at E3 2013? Microsoft shot themselves in the foot before the console even released. Sure they decided not to go with DRM, and always online consoles before launch, but they outright lied about the Xbox One REQUIRING a Kinect in order to properly function. Then less than a year later they started selling Kinectless consoles. But by then the damage was done.
...
Come on. Blizzard might not be the company we once knew, but the Diablo mobile game is a side project. It has nothing to do with their main releases.
Having said that, if they release Diablo 4 with a bunch of mobile-type MT's then we'll know for sure that you are right.
To be fair StarCraft 2 wasn't really split into expansions. Each part was as long as most full RTS games. They all had something like 24 campaign missions and tons of new content when they released, including MP maps and new units for all races. It also took years between each release. It was more like an episodic game that delivered 3 full games. I don't see an issue with that at all. I actually prefer it. It gave us much more content in the long run considering that most RTS games o...
You aren't wrong.
Jesus. Not only are you wrong, but it's scary how many people agreed with you.
"I bet you hate Amusement Parks. I always pay the extra fee to skip the lines when I go so I can ride more rides when I go."
That's a pretty bad analogy because there's nothing everyone can do to EARN a better place in line at amusement parks.
And you're still missing my point. Yeah, it does suck for people not to earn the unlocks. But that isn't really my point. The point is that developers aren't doing it to help you. They...
"So its cool to have the guy who has tons of time to grind and get his gear to have a clear advantage over the guy who is not as good but wants the same weapon that clearly is better than starting weapons."
Yeah, it is cool. Because what you're saying is that it's okay to get rewarded with things for not putting in the time to earn them. It's the whole "everyone gets a trophy" mentality. Its BS. Just like anything in life, if you are willing ...
"I think what you are saying is those who did the grind for the weapons are upset that others can skip it with money."
If that's what you got from my comment then your reading comprehension is truly abysmal.
"Frankly the late 70's to the 90's did diversity better than the garbage that is pumped out now, from Apollo creed to Ellen Ripley. Blade to Cheech and Chong. Characters that were unique and well written that people of all kinds loved."
I totally agree. And you know where the problem came in? When people decided to get sensitive over nonsense and claim everything is a negative stereotype.
For instance, characters like Blade and Luke Cage...
Forced Inclusion? I would agree with you, but not in this instance. Kamala Khan is one of the most popular female super heroes in Marvel right now. She has been gaining traction since she was created.
So for an Avengers game that only has one female playable character (arguably the most popular female Avenger) it makes sense to add Kamala Khan as the next playable character. People love her and she has a very different power set than the already playable characters.
Isn't that kind of the point? You get rewarded for having the skill to earn those unlocks?
Not to mention, almost nothing in CoD or Battlefield is skill based. We're talking about games that give you points, experience, or ranks simply by playing the game.
If the grind is too heavy and it makes people want to go spend actual money for unlocks then that is also part of the problem.
It used to be that Battlefield didn't releas...
Why? They never drop console prices that low until the new next gen consoles release.
I'm not here to change anyone's minds, but your comment is wrong.
Shadowkeep added new weapons and armor. Both Legendary and Exotics.
It added a new horde mode.
It added new campaign missions.
It added new strikes.
It added a new Raid.
And sure, they re-used the Moon. But it's far from a copy-paste job of the Moon from Destiny 1. There are added set-pieces, a new are...
