Who makes the Wolfenstein games?
It was great. But remember how great Wolfenstein 1 and 2 were? And remember how bad the newest Wolfenstein was?
I'm nervous. I don't want to be as I've been a Doom player since the OG came out. But I can't help being a little scared of Bethesda ruining this too, considering their last two releases have been absolute unplayable garbage.
I know this game getting delayed is a good thing, but should we be worried? I mean, its Bethesda and they've had an abysmal track record lately. Even their latest Wolfenstein game was clown shoes.

Dude. I remember begging my parents for that LJN X-Men game. It was all I wanted one Christmas. So they got it for me, and it was such trash.
He's not wrong though. I was also a kid int he 80's and SOMETIMES it was very hard to know what you were buying if a friend didn't have the game.
Having said that, he does mention that he rented games and knew not to buy them if they were bad, which was the only way to do it. You couldn't go by video game magazine reviews because a lot of them were wildly different in scores, and Nintendo Power was never going to give one of their own games a poor score.

I agree. Mass Effect is just as bad in my opinion, even though it was disappointing for different reasons.
I loved the original trilogy and each entry kept getting better and better. (Sure, the end of ME3 could be seen as a disappointment, but it didn't bother me.)
But Andromeda disappointed on so many levels. It still felt like a Mass Effect game, but far less interesting, with weak characters, and technical issues. So yeah, extremely disappointing! ...

Yeah it really did. There seems to be almost no excitement for it. And you're right. The reveal really hurt it. And I'm quite impressed how they've managed to somehow still keep people in the dark over what this game even is. Have they even shown how this game works? Is it a Destiny/Borderlands style looter shooter?
It depends on what you consider "better".
Yes, games have better graphics and have evolved for the better in a lot of ways. But MOST games have also been dumbed down from previous incarnations. A lot of games today do too much hand holding.

But I also remember reading an article about this guy that played Skyrim and he went around serial killing as many female NPC's as he could without getting caught. Not only that, but he then spent the time to bring their dead bodies to his home and set them up in chairs and all kinds of weird crap like that.
I know it's just a game, but you can't tell me that someone like that doesn't have some kind of screw loos...
