You make a good point too. For a short period there they were making remastered editions of old classics like Bionic Commando, which was exactly like the original but with better graphics and some added extras. Or like when they made Mega Man 9 and 10, and they were exactly like the originals from the 80's.
I loved those, but I guess they weren't pulling in enough money because it seems like they've slowed down on games like that.

Its been mentioned a hundred times already and its also common knowledge to any gamer. No one had to purchase the game to test it. You pre-order it, and the most anyone has to pay to do that is $5. Then, if you don't like it, you can always cancel your pre-order.

The big difference in your comment os that BF4 is a broken game and doesn't deserve the hype it got.
You also mentioned Watch Dogs, which is just another open world game that really did nothing new and had absolutely terrible driving mechanics.
Destiny is not a broken game. Destiny has fantastic, solid controls. Its also very innovative. No other FPS has done what Destiny is doing.
So there's a big difference there.
Before you even start playing the Destiny Beta a window pops up that outright says the Beta is to test their load levels to make sure they can handle heavy amounts of players.
They are basically testing their servers and connections to be sure that they can support a ridiculously high amount of players at once.
So yeah, you're right...but the Beta comes right out and says that.

Toy Lines always add extra characters. Toys for movies and video games do this all the time. They add characters to the toy line that aren't actually in the film/game.
Again, i'm not saying he won't be in the game in some capacity, but them making a figure of him does not confirm anything.
Day one DLC is DLC that is available to everyone on day one. This is not. Its exclusive DLC that you have to pre-order to get.

Thats not really a fair comparison. PC's can be made from all kinds of brands, yet they can all play the same games, as long as you're not using a MAC.
