The expansion pack has an extra character class, an extra chapter of the story, new gear, new enemies, and a new boss. The old one on consoles didnt have anybof that.

I didn't hit nearly as many snags in Dead Island as people claim. Was it perfect? Absolutely not. But it didn't have any bugs that I came across that would be considered game breaking or hurt my experience in any way. I loved it.
