I'm pretty sure the number 39 refers to the Light Level of items. Not the character level.
39 is a much bigger jump than Dark Below made. Also, items seem to go in increments of 3. Dark below raid level gear has a light level of 36, while other Legendary gear is 33. 39 light level feels like it would be more in line with what has been going on so far.
Guns are definitely risky to use. If you have to use one you better be ready to either fight for your life or run for your life.

Not true at all. Fighting games have changed quite a bit, especially the Netherealm games.
They found a vreat formula for including very in depth stories, backvround assist items, weapon combat, different fighting styles.....
By nature there is only so much any genre can do and still remain in the same genre. Fighting games will always be character A vs Character B.

You can still use the hallway/valley thing that you enter through. If things get hairy you can jump back up from where you start from amd enemies rarely seem to go after you.

Yeah, no way its random. They've been selling the same few weapons for almost two straight months now.
Also, the fact that the PS exclusive weapons are not included with Xur, and the fact that weapons like Red Death, Gjallahorn, and others that people would kill for never seem to show up tells me that it is far from completely random.

But, Just Cause 2, Tomb Raider, and especially Deus Ex Human Revolution were all great games.

Interesting. I've been disappointed for the past 3 weeks in a row. Im a titan and he hasn't been selling any worthwhile titan armor in a long time. Is helm of saint 14 or ruin wings too much to ask for? Anything really. But boots? No one uses exotic boots lol.

Some of these figures have become very rare and hard to find.
In the future, collectors are going to be willing to pay big bucks for them. Most likely, not any time soon, but maybe 20-30 years from now? It would not surprise me one bit. Just look at some of the ridiculous games from video game history that sell for huge bucks now a days!
