These remakes and remasters almost never prevent a company from coming out with new stuff, so i really dont see the problem. People dont have to buy them if they dont want to.

If a cutscene is boring and bland, then it becomes tedious and annoying to sit through it. Just like any tv show or movie. The developers do have a certain amount of liability in creating an engaging cutscene, especially if it is an extended cutscene.

I have Hard Light, Thunderlord, Last Word, Dragon's Breath, Patience and Time, Ice Breaker, Plan C, Thorn, Invective, and Super Good Advice.

I agree but it wouldn't have helped in this situation. The kid clearly left the room and didn't see the guy delete his two characters. He came back in just as the guy was deleting his Plan C. It wasn't until he tried to log back in that he noticed his other two characters were gone.
So not only did he give control of his console to a stranger, he then left the room and didnt even keep an eye on the guy. Tough lesson but i bet this kid never does this again.

I got Thunderlord from a purple engram. However, i've had the game since launch and thats the only time a legendary engram has given me an exotic.
My buddy got a purple engram for doing the daily the other day and it gave him Hawkmoon lol.

That isnt true. Anything with light lvl 36 can get you there. Even Bungie's Iron Banner page says that the iron banner armor opens another path to lvl 32.
Your level is based on your armor's light level. The only thing the radiant shards and energy do is let you lvl your raid gear all the way up. Iron Banner gear doesn't require that.
I know because i have a raid chest piece, an exotic helmet, and the iron banner gauntlets. All i need are the iron...
