I fully expected this. They already remade their other two big franchises with Wolfenstein and Doom. Might as well close it out with Quake.
I would definitely welcome it. I'm loving what id is doing these days. Even though Quake is my least favorite id franchise i would still love to see this.
How is The Division even compared to Uncharted?
The Division is not that good...
Then why doesn't exclusivity hurt games like Uncharted? Or The Last of Us. Or the new Tomb Raider?
The fact of the matter is they released a about 15% of a full game.
Less fighters at launch. A barebones multiplayer mode with only 2 people allowed in lobbies at any given time. No spectators in online. A very crappily done survivor mode. And only a 3 fight pre-quel story mode that an imbecile could beat with his eyes closed while playing with his feet...
The single player alone deserves much more than a 7.
I would give it a solid 9.
I grew up playing Doom and this one is a perfect blend of the classic play style with modern tropes.
The very fast paced speed, no reloading, and no ADS really make it feel classic while the addition of brutal/highly rewarding melee kills, upgradable/modifiable weapons and suit, and of course the graphics make it modern enough to please the newer age.
I dont dislike remasters. I had an xbox 360 last gen and never got to play the uncharted series or the last of us. Without the remasters i still would not have played them to this day. Just because people dont have an interest in certain remasters doesn't mean no remasters should exist. They do serve a great purpose.
Having said that, i played the entire ME trilogy on my 360 and would still give my third nut for a ps4 remaster!
During interviews they said there is plenty of story for those that want to read the lore and things....
I'm not real sure how they thought releasing about 20% of a game and charging full price for it would turn out, but then again Capcom has been nothing more than a company full of bad decision makers lately.
You know what? 20% is being too generous. SF4 launched with more characters than this one. All this launched with was a very basic online mode with lobbies that could only support 2 people with no spectators, and a crappily done Survivor mode. Seriously? Thats actua...
Uh....Doom was like the first FPS with Multiplayer. I remember playing with friends after school on my old 56K dial-up modem.
So yeah, Doom had MP back in the day.
Having said that, single player was always the reason to play Doom. I'm still excited because i'm sure that will be great.
I would agree that the multiplayer was boring as hell. But I never played the Doom games for MP. I play them for single player. I'm sure the campaign will be great.
I won't buy this without Origins.
But Waldo IS a common name in the states?
I guarantee you no one in America can name a single person they've ever met named friggin' Waldo.
I haven't paid too much attentio to these "upgraded" console rumors, but now that it seems inevitable, are these just going to basically be like the black Xbox 360 Elite, or slim versions that came with slightly more features?
Or are these supposedly going to seriously update the hardware of the consoles to make games look and run better?
What exactly is the rumor? I know nothing is confirmed, but what seems most likely?
Seems t...
I have to respectfully disagree.
The Budokai games were good, don't get me wrong. But they were missing that sense of scale that the Tenkaichi games had.
Budokai just felt like anither fighter to me, while Tenkaichi 2 and 3 felt like I was actually fighting in the DBZ universe.
Xenoverse failed to do that also for me. The biggest reason is that you have to stear while flying rather than double tapping a button to charge straight at an ene...
Yeah because you actually felt like you were fighting in an episode of DBZ. The fight system was perfect in those gameas.
Well I can confirm that I haven't bought, nor played a CoD game since the original CoDblops.
I just don't enjoy them. Battlefield is my franchise. I love the larger maps and vehicles aspect as well as the slightly more realistic take.
How can someone's opinion be wrong?
Making it more like Tenkaichi 2 and 3.
I hated the controls in Xenoverse.
Customizable mechs
1 and 2 were awesome and some of the best graphically looking games of last gen.
The environments were fantastic.
Those games made you seriously feel like you could get attacked with every single step you took. Loved them.
3 sucked though
Xenoverse was a huge disappointment for me.
They need to take the Tenkaichi 2 and 3 gameplay and just update the graphics and story.
No other DBZ game felt as authentic as those. It really felt like you were playing an episode of DBZ.
Also, i want to have every character's transformation available and able to do in a fight. The transformation system in Xenoverse was complete ass compared to Tenkaichi 2 and 3.
Yo...
