You guys are missing the whole point, which is surprising for people who claim to have read the whole article.
This isn't about Playstation vs Xbox. Can you guys just look further than that for a minute?
Its devs/publishers putting shady things in their small print that basically give them free reign to do what they want.
Imagine of the new Tomb Raider had pulled this. Lets say it released on Xbox One, then a year later when everyon...
They were playing the friggin' game for 50 hours. Who spends that kind of time playing a game they don't like?
The issue isn't the refunds in general. The issue is that people have put tons of hours into this game, like 45-50, and then requested a refund.
45-50 hours is more than enough time to realize you don't want a game. Hell, very few games even have a story mode that is even half that time.
So if the game kept you interested for that long, then no, you don't deserve a refund. Regardless of how much you think you were lied to. You still obviously...
5-10 hours is an acceptable amount of time.
I started on a bad planet, much like you described. It was 8 hours before I left the first planet. I only made it to 3 or 4 planets before realizing that I was bored and doing the same thing over and over with no real substance.
Keep in mind, I'm not complaining about these so called, "lies". I followed the game's development for a very long time, read every interview I saw. I feel I got prett...
You said it. I've traded plenty of games in around this point and gotten more than $12 for it at Gamestop. There is no reason for them to be offering this low amount other than having a huge supply with few people buying it.
Generally I get around $25- $30 for my games there.
I traded in Doom over a month after release and got $30.
I sincerely hope you are trolling.
If not, this might be one of the most ignorant things I've ever read.
@nv0s
Yeah I was. I had Destiny at launch and played it for about a year straight.
There was nothing horrible about Destiny's menus.
Yeah, but I find it a good time to try out indie games that I don't know much about. I don't like spending $15-$20 on something I may not like. So this makes it more reasonable. They do Flash Sales often enough and usually have some decent AAA titles in them for cheap.
Again, I would check out Invisible Inc for anyone that hasn't played it. Its a lot of fun. Its like X-Com with spies rather than soldiers, and at half price its an absolute steal! Best indie game ...
What I don't get is he says the refunds are deserved.....right in the title.
So how is it greedy to want the refund if...y'know....its deserved?
This title says it all.
If the refund is deserved then how are consumers being greedy by wanting a refund?
It would be greedy to want a refund if it WASN'T deserved.
EDIT: How can I get a disagree? The title contradicts itself. That's a fact, not an opinion.
Yeah....
Although I would highly recommend Invisible Inc. to anyone. Its a great game.
You have a point. I dont mean to sound like you don't. I guess I just never really thought of VR in that way, and like I said before, most people probably haven't.
How has it effected you? Just don't buy it if you don't want it. Its that simple.
I don't get why anyone would want it. It takes away from the game. I never understood why people would pay for shortcuts. But whatever.
I'm not even mad about anything from the devs. I followed the game's development, never expected to play with anyone based on what was described, and itnwas pretty much what I expected.
Having said that, I didn't expect to lose interest so quickly. It was just too much of the same thing over and over. And the planets were far more empty than I expected.
I think something that killed it for me was when I found a building that had this slim-lik...
Well I didn't say a single word about 4K....but okay lol.
I was simply saying that the point of VR is to make an environment that feels like you are actually there. At least that is what most people think of it, I would have to think. I mean, it says as much right in the name, Virtual Reality.
If you can see your character it kind of takes away from that experience, considering no one can see themselves from a 3rd person perspective.....unless they h...
Perhaps.
The difference is that Destiny had a huge fanbase that loved the game andnstill played religiously well over a year after launch. Millions of people, logging in every single day.
There was definitely something there to like about Destiny. Not saying they didn't lie or hold back content. And you aren't wrong in what hou are saying. All I mean is that Destiny was at least fun as hell to play with superb gameplay.
NMS is j...
It doesn't take a huge budget to make a menu system that isn't frustrating to use.
Doesn't 3rd person kind of defeat the purpose of VR?
It hurts PS4 players because it sets a precedence.
This could have EASILY been something that Microsoft did. Then PS4 players would be complaining.
If this type of exclusivity deal is acceptable by people, then it COULD become the norm in the future. That is something NO ONE should want.
That is why I can't believe so many people here are making this a Sony vs Microsoft issue. This could eventually effect us all. So rather than ma...
