Agreed. Wasn't there a report a month or so ago that they scrapped everything and basically started over?
The reveal trailer a couple years ago said, "Play it first on Playstation 4".
That leads me to believe it will be on other consoles, but on Playstation first.
Didn't the reveal trailer a couple years ago say, "Play it first on PS4"?
That led me to be believe it would be on other platforms, but it would release on PS4 first.
Valkyrie Chronicles is in WW2 also. It's clearly not an accurate representation of WW2. Yet everyone knows it's supposed to be set in WW2.
Valkyrie Chronicles is WW2 and is clearly not a realistic representation of it. I'm not sure many people complained about that.
Well, it looks like they really are being legit with BF5. They've already made the following announcements:
1. No paid DLC. All maps and additional content is free.
2. No loot boxes.
3. Progression is ONLY made through gameplay.
4. All modes are available to all players 100% of the time.
5. MT's are for cosmetics only.
This pretty much covers all bases. I really don't see how else they could screw us. This c...
Even though BotW was a great game, I wish it would have been more of a classic Zelda.
They basically removed everything that made these games Zelda games and just turned it into run of the mill open world game.
And honestly, I would have been fine with everything if they just would have had some dungeons with boss fights.
Nope. In fact, I have yet to see a single comment on N4G mention that it looks like BF1. Except yours of course.
This is the thing that makes me cringe at the video game community at times.
The ONLY thing that costs money now are cosmetic items. Yet people still want to complain. Most games would be offering a season pass for content to keep playing with the whole community. Or DLC Map packs. Or loot crates. EA took all of that away and just left cosmetic items for purchase, and people still complain.
What a joke some people are.
There has to be a level of compromise.
The price of video games hasn't gone up since the release of Xbox 360. This is an online game where they're offering all DLC and maps for free. You don't have to pay for anything to keep playing with the entire community. There's nothing wrong with selling some very optional cosmetic items to help the devs continue supporting the game as well as adding new content on a regular basis.
All games sell th...
Out of all the things people have been complaining about, looking like Battlefield 1 is not one of them. Sorry man. If you actually paid attention to all the changes and watched gameplay then Battlefield 1 shouldn't even be entering anyone's mind.
Lol I'm seriously shocked that someone would defend this and then try to use GTA as an excuse.
In GTA not only is it NOT the point of the game, but you get punished if you go on random killing sprees by having the police and even military come after you.
It's hardly the same as something like this, where the entire point is walking down hallways with a machine gun shooting innocent kids.
This is the Hatred argument all over again. Hatred got the same scrutiny except this may even be more egregious.
To answer your question and comments about games like GTA and other shooters. The entire point of those games is NOT to go around killing innocents. Sure, you can choose to do that. But you also get punished for it, the police come after you, and it is clearly not the point of the game.
This game's entire point is to become a school shooter...
Exactly. They just have to find something to complain about because EA finally put everything to rest. There are no shady business tactics at work this time. So now they have to complain about something else. And considering how great everything else is, it all falls to "historical accuracy", and females in the game, or someone putting face paint on their character.
It's really kind of sad at this point.
EA will never be able to win with s...
But it is based on historical events. Granted, this one is more loosely based than games from the past. But it is still based on WWII.
It's like all those movies that come out that say they are based on actual events, but when you look them up online you find that 75% of the movie was totally made up.
Hell, that movie The Perfect Storm. That entire movie was totally made up. All anyone knows is that boat left and never came back. So how could they ma...
This wasn't even remotely funny the first time you put it in an article. It certainly isn't funny the 5th or 6th time.
So it's to help people be prepared for this situation by letting you play as the shooter and kill as many students as possible?
No. If it was a tool for preparedness you would play as the students trying to stay safe in this situation. It wouldn't be an FPS where you walk the halls of a school with various weapons trying to kill as many kids as possible.
The creators can spin it however they want. But let's not be foolish here.
No. If that was what it was for it would not allow you to play as the shooter and try to kill as many students as possible. Which is what this "game" does.
If it was to raise preparation, you would play as the students and find safe ways to deal with the situation.
There is a big difference.
The people you're talking about are above you. Not below you. Up vs. Down.
Yeah they already said they would sell cosmetics. But so what? Tons of other games do to.
At the end of the day, they aren't forcing you to buy anything to progress or continue playing the game with the whole community.
That is a huge step in the right direction, and in this day and age I don't see most games coming out and NOT selling some kind of extras.
