It's still tough to note the difference though imo. Regardless of whether you hear the beeping noise of your shield being drained or your screen going red + the sound of your heartbeat, the tactic of hiding behind cover to recoup is the same. That's just me though...
I notice a few flaws: Pretty sure a Plasmid variant was in System Shock 2, a game before Gears had its cover system, regenerative health came before Halo 2 (heck CE deserves that credit even though it was split between sheild/health), and one or two more may be flawed.
n4g. That's the only answer I can come up with in certain situations.
You could play as the Duck? I must try this.
Song at the end is total win :P.
The charters you mentioned involve what the gov't cannot do. Those same charters don't stretch to the media (although they have ethics and codes to abide by). You're making it seem like this example from the media is infringing on EA's 1st amendment rights, which is not the case.
Do some research. Sony did pay for GTA timed exclusives.
Notice I said "to some degree". All CoD's after 3 were fragfests to varied degrees. True, WaW's is the worst though.
Sorry but this was too funny.
I've always heard this game accompanied with a bad reception by players. While it's still a solid list, I'd put GTA 3 much higher when considering that sequel created the sandbox genre as we know it.
Epic's already shown new modes and the preview reception has been great for it. This is basically lol-worthy and I'm beginning to wonder if you're joking.
Although I have to finish the game, you can tell the game's focus is driven towards only these huge monsters. Never really wanted to go through dungeons and deal with weapon variety.
Same here.
Every CoD has been a fragfest to some degree after 3.
Reach is beating it (MW2) on XBL. Isn't there a dedicated propane website you can go to? :P
then I realize which site I'm on :P. Srry Destructoid, you won't be getting my hit.
Either The End or The Boss from MGS3. I lean more towards Boss because of the cool landscape you fight in.
"...attempt to pull the spotlight back on them."
I feel like lol'ing at this but I'm not entirely sure if you're making this come off as a bad thing to slander MS against. Gaming is a business as well, just so you know.
Hope you enjoyed the review :D.
Feel free to show me another TPS series that gets copied more than Gears. RE4's ideas went away as soon as next-gen started, even GRAW had the right idea before Gears.
