actually the only machine that can compete with a PS3 is a MacPro sporting dual quad cores for a total of 8 processing cores. I don't believe there are any windows pc's out there running dual quad cores.

don't let the lies of 360 fanboys fool anyone, this is one THE most underrated games on the PS3. IMO it is THE online competitive shooter of this generation. Graphics are SHARP (exactly what is needed for tactical gameplay). I can score a headshot with a SUBMACHINE gun at over 500 yards. NO OTHER game offers that kind of accuracy and LAG FREE play.I've split my FPS time between this and Killzone 2.
I've been saying for months now that not even PC's with their standard architecture can match the PS3 in terms of processing power. Fanboys that don't want to hear this pull the usual "you're not a dev, what do you know?" out of their back-pocket yet time and time again it seems people with knowledge on the subject seem to predict reality while the fanboys live in fantasies like Alan Wait.

the difference here is Sony is not asking you to sign your life away in order to get matching funds for your budget, unlike MS who would ask for your firstborn before you saw one dime from them.

let me set something straight before all the fanboys jump into the ignorance festival. No amount of software in the world is gonna makeup for lack of physical processing power. Meaning that anything built to take advantage of processing sub-systems in a console (i.e. SPU's) will always look and play better on the PS3, YES EVEN BETTER THAN THE PC.

I agree with you that these developers are unoriginal but I do think that there is so much more you can do with the FPS genre. Its not done by any means.
maybe just maybe, IW is feeling the pressure of millions of 360 fanboys looking to them as the red ringed knight of salvation that will finally give them a reason to gloat at PS3 owners with something that looks "better" than Killzone 2. They know the limitations of the 360 hardware and are looking for ways to squeeze more power out of it before they show anything. If this was a gameplay video the comparisons to KZ2 woulda gone up faster than a flea gets focked.
