IMO Sony has this gen in the bag, my replacement 360 that I got from best buy last september after then original one I bought there RED RINGED on me, just bit the dust with that GPU solder error. that would be a shame because I love horde mode and would love to see it with higher res, textures and more enemies on screen.
I think the only fair to look at the advertising variable is by looking at what it has done for microsoft. The PS3 has grown faster and is only outsold by small margins every month when you add up all 3 territories. Does a multi-million microsoft advertising budget seem worth it in light of that?
I think Sony is being smart here.

while I'm all for Microsoft showing us what they are made of and finally putting up stiffer competition in what they offer the end user, I have HUGE reservations about ANYBODY offering a 1080p stream over the internet. The PS3 streams 1080p video at 27mbits per second, already over 5 times the bandwidth MS is saying it will need to achieve this. Did they come up with a new compression algorythm they are telling no-one about? Somehow I doubt it, but hey you never know.

I was all set to come in here and say how great it is that microsoft get some studios developing exclusively for their platforms since that is the are where they are hurting the most and just find a bunch of children yapping about PS3 fans who are nowhere to be found in this article. your logic fails me, I have made no comparisons to the 360 version. All I said was that it is a BS comparison because the PS3 version looks much better than those screenshots. If you take off the fanboy goggles you can see the only people I call out are the ones attacking the PS3 version. I have no problem with anyone enjoying it on their 360.
