I hope not, this is the kind of game that could do cool things with the wii u's features
Anytime Sony or Nintendo or MS refers to sales they're usually talking about shipped not sold. They can only report what they ship, not rely on guesstimates from vgchartz on official reports.
Yeah i know but when did they ever deny a VC game?
They denied a NA release of fatal frame 4 and stuff because they figured it wouldnt sell well, but VC games cost almost nothing to put up on the eshop. I think itd be more a case of square being douchebags if this didnt get a NA release.
Wouldnt that be more of Square's choice?
And thankfully NoA is at least under iwata now, reggie and them pretty much refused every good japanese wii game.
It has, vita sales have baselined higher since the ps4 released. Its a genius design, but theres still only a handful that want to drop another 200 bucks after spending 400 on a ps4. Whats annoying is sony has actually relegated a few of their handheld dedicated 2nd and 1st party studios into ps4 development. Like those guys making The Order used to made GoW psp games.
I think its because a lot of the software isnt designed with portability in mind, more of a console experience on the go. Like the wipeout on vita look great but it has like 45 sec-1 minute loading screens that pretty much kill any chance of playing it for a quick 5-10 minutes on the bus. Also stuff like uncharted and gravity rush are great games but theyre still not games designed to be played on the go.
I hope the vita does okay lifetime. I wouldnt want sony to try and mimic nintendo's direction with handhelds because the dichotomy between the vita and 3ds is what makes them both must owns.
Original xbox kicked ass, i hope in the end the xbone is more like the xbox than the 360
Lol even at 60 frames i cant warrant spending 60 bucks on this.
I dont think EA decided to make it exclusive, MS just payed the money. EA probably doesnt have to worry how Titanfall sells so much as MS since they got a ton if money with the deal lol.
@Th4Freak
True, but at least nintendo games are practically flawless technically, whereas it took a damn year of patches to get BF3 where it shouldve been at launch xD. Theres "well people buy it, might as well keep making it" greed then theres "people buy it, lets focus that one team on autonomously pumping out BF games, we'll fix 'em once we get our money!" greed
Its kind of ironic how a lot of these companies refusing to support the system were the same ones dumping piles and piles of shovelware on the wii. Seriously, with the exception of dead space on rails, look at EA's offerings on wii...
Edit: double post
This does concern me a bit... sometimes edge game is a characters best asset and winning factor.
Pretty much everything that wasnt an action game last gen became one. The Splinter Cell series, despite only dropping in sales since leaving the series roots, continues to be more of an action game. Resident evil, is an over the top action game. Silent Hill, more focus on action than story and puzzles lately. Tactical shooters like GRAW and SOCOM, both lost focus. Hitman too. Very disappointing because most of them do so to the detriment of their sales, leading publishers to assume we dont wa...
Lol if they made a PS fighter 10 years ago itd be much better. PS was defined by cloud, crash, spyro, ratchet and crank, jak, etc.
The final product has characters just horribly selected.
On topic: i think she could be a fighter, her pose here looks a lot like a taunt.
Quick money, gets rid of excess supply.
Unless retro made a new engine, this thing is running on the same one used for the wii game, which itself was branched off the prime engine. I think its a good game for retro to start with since it gives them a better understanding of the hardware for metroid.
Well the game is a budget title at 49.99, and its probably one of the first wii u titles put in development. Knowing nintendo had trouble with HD development this makes sense. Its a good title that wouldnt benefit all that much from a higher res that lets retro understand the hardware.
I'll buy them when they aren't:
1. Bad ports with poor optimization (AC3, COD, Arkham games)
2. Several months late (Mass Effect 3, Darksiders 2, Need for Speed: Most Wanted)
3. Has content cut or no DLC support (AC 4, Arkham Origins, COD, others)
...Which accounts for pretty much all 3rd party games on wii u with few exceptions.
