Fatal Frame 3. The first person crawling parts and the parts in your house are terrifying. The whole series is pretty scary though.
I would also say Silent Hill 3 was scary.
The RE series has never scared me, it just makes me anxious. Its kind of weird because when RE is scary, its damn scary. I think we all know what enemy from RE4 im referring to.
This was a great scene.
American version suuuuucked
If you're buying a console purely to connect with the ps4 than your market is pretty limited.
The vita's main selling point to me is the indies. Wii U has a lot too, but the ability to play them on the go makes most indie purchases better bought on the vita.
But yeah, Sony's support of the platform is looking pretty thin for the forseeable future.
I didn't get back into Nintendo consoles until i bought a 3ds, and then a wii u.
Sometimes its nice to go back to something from your childhood, or just to get a console that offers a totally unique experience compared to what else is there.
"An obviously superior controller"
I've grown up using very different controllers, so i never felt uncomfortable adapting to any certain one. That being said the gamepad is ergonomically fine, but i fail to see what makes it "obviously superior". Its potential to immerse the player is remarkable, the only problem is not a lot of games make use of it. Thats like saying the dreamcast controller is the best because of the handful of games that make good u...

The Sega CD, 32X, and Saturn all had short lifespans with especially poor support outside of Japan.
They might have a few good games, but Sega themselves put those two expensive add ons on the market with poor support and they quickly moved on. The failure of those products doomed the DC, even though they really did a lot right with the DC. Id argue no console since has had a launch line up that good.
@Haru
2-3k 360's in 8 years? Where do you live?
Its quite incredible that the series can progress with such weak sales...
I find it funny that the indie tribute to this series "Dreadout" is ten times more known and popular than its inspiration. What Nintendo needs to do is release this in the west and get the youtube personalities that make obscure horror games sell and have them advertise the game, by playing it.
Thats probably plenty of units to make profit though. Really the metroid series has been plagued with poorly chosen release dates and a lack of advertising. Metroid Prime is one of the best selling games on the cube. But the last two Prime games suffered from poorly chosen release dates to compete with Halo 2 and 3. Even Other M, a game no one really wanted, sold over a million.
Thats definitely why the PS4 isnt doing great there. The wii u has actually heen ahead of it mostve this year, but only by like 1k each week.
Err, i didnt think it would drop second week. I expected more like 10k or more as well.
Actually this is pretty average for a FF game. The extra advertising sort of evened its performance despite the small install base.
FF4: 28k first week
FF2 wii edition: 20k
"If it's still got poor numbers compared to the first game after comparing their first full weeks side-by-side, then I'll agree [it failed in Japan]."

OT: Not a bad debut for Fatal Frame. This was around the same FF4 did in Japan its first week, but with a much larger install base on the Wii.
The volleyball game is actually really fun. Once you get over the oversized boobs you see theres actually a really developed, intense game there. Its like the Virtua Tennis of volleyball games.
This is coming from a girl too btw. I used to scoff at it but when you play it with some friends you see its more than meets the eye.
@Faster
You realize if this game received in excess of the budget Nintendo has already provided for it, it'd be by far the most expensive thing EVER funded on kickstarter. Besides Kamiya hates kickstarter, even called Infanune a "businessman, not a game developer" for using it. It seemed dickish back then, but now MN9 has had a totally second kickstarter for a tv show and im inclined to agree.
This is it, theyve said they went to multiple publis...
Those are hardcore games, and they'll probably be great, but theyre also very niche and Bayonetta 2 has already proven to have a negligible effect on hardware sales. It only went up 1k over the week before in Japan.
They need to buy, or make, a hardcore game with wider appeal than Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third.
I cant imagine much of China has disposable income.
Thats why Nintendo should release there. All of their system selling games are inoffensive to the government.
I'm surprised by this launch, assuming it was sold. It'll be interesting to see how the numbers hold the upcoming weeks.
This is cool. It'll have a limited appeal, but it is cool nonetheless.
