@Metallox
I see what you're getting at, but it's all theoretical and arbitrary. There were still 34 million NES' sold in america, and there is 3.3 million Wii U's today, unlikely to hit more than 15 million in america lifetime.
Nintendo's fanbase from console to console has shrunk exponentially, excluding the wii which we can all agree was a fluke considering the Wii U has sunk even below the gamecube.
@Sincere
60 million NES sold
8 million Wii U's sold
Where did they all go?
Honestly most the people who played the NES and SNES are on playstation these days.
Bloomberg says 1 billion USD, not yen. But honestly that doesnt sound right.
Hmm. Thats a lot of money. Almost toooo much
I dont get why you should care. It's not like your wii u experience is made worse by their existence. They just arent for you, clearly. A lot of people like them, hence why theyre buying them. Nintendo is making money off of them. What's to hate?
I wouldnt even call it a gimmick. Its totally supplementary, and just meant to give little incentives across various software.
They also planned to have your footprints stay in the world and disappear progressively, and grass grows real time and stuff. They had a lot of good ideas banking on the 64DD that i'm surprised they never brought back as their hardware got better.
@camel_toad
All these developers love games and play each other's games... the splatoon devs said they played plenty of battlefield and COD and are using that experience to make the game.
The funny thing is, they aren't advancing whatsoever, they're just going back to their roots. He makes a point of saying this in the E3 intro to the new zelda.
If i had a quarter for every time i decked someone in the face over their ignorance of a controller, i'd be a damn millionaire!
I see plenty of gamecube controllers, just not the adaptors
Its crazy how far ahead smash bros wii u is on a technical level compared to any other wii u game.
FE x SMT is never memtioned for 2015 even in japan, so i doubt it's next year.
Are you playing for glory 1v1? There's not luck in that. What do you mean by luck?
On topic of the article, rolling has too much power in this game. But overall, game's great. All the characters are pretty balanced unlike Brawl which was meta knight or meta knight.
I have no doubt they'll bring back a villager amiibo for animal crossing.
Who isn't troy baker these days?
The question is at what point will ps4 and xbox one owners be buying a secondary console, and will it be the wii u?
The fact that they had a presence at TGA was surprising, and a step in the right direction. Its clear they've given up on the popularity contest but they'll still take a chance to sell their system.
Even with all the droughts and negativity surrounding the system, ten years from now all we'll see is the games and in that sense i thin...
The amiibo's are going to be so damn collectible. It's scary.
It has the potential to be so much more though. An indie game called Dreadout is a straight up clone of Fatal Frame and it experienced more success than the entire series put together because youtubers were all playing it. If they payed some youtubers to show it off, then released it for maybe 39.99 it could make a healthy profit at the very least.
Honestly the game doesnt look so good graphically that a rocky framerate is acceptable on the PS4.
