well, you make some vast generalisations there, dj, which are not quite correct.
You assert that the cell and xenon are fundamentally no different, with the exception of the number of cores, when all evidence from the developer community says they are hugely different.
The fact is, developers have struggled big time with the cell, due to the hardware architecture of the cell and its new programming requirements, compared to other multicore cpus.

The real numbers are in the respective company's .financial statements and they cannot be misconstrued!

As a proud ps3 owner I am also sick to death of the gimped multiplats on the ps3, especially now that there is evidence the trend is continuing onto 2010.
I am continually asking myself whether the ps3 is maybe not quite as powerful as Sony assured us it was?
If it really were so much more powerful, we'd be seeing all the multiplats looking invariably better on ps3, right?

It doesn't seem to matter what MS does or whether they have a legitimate right to do it, the hating crowd on n4g will always find ways to be the persecuted victims of the evil microsoft empire.
As an aside, in general, I have noticed that there are quite a few weak individuals on n4g who will cry victim and foul, as soon as things don't go their way. I am quite saddened by this, in general.

actually dude, LOT made no judgement at all on the brightness, nor did they make a judgement based 'picture comparison'
Rather, LOT called it on frametear.
The ps3 has 3x the amount of frametear!
Also, the ps3 has slower load times, even with a mandatory install.
So you see, it was never about the brightness at all.
The frametear, even by itself, is significant reason enough, for discerning gamers.
Of course, if you don't care about 3x ...

It seems Lot was absolutely spot on and justified in their appraisal of Wolfenstein on the ps3 and 360.
It's terrific to see LOT do justified and accurate comparisons, which objectively measure the disappointing discrepancies on the ps3, most of the time.
In the case of Assassin's creed2, it is once again predictable to see the ps3 fans cry foul and declare that LOT cannot be trusted or is someho...

One of the things the ps3 DOESN'T do is backwards compatibility.
This feature, is included, ironically, free of charge, on the 360.

To be fair, I agree the wireless network 360 accessory is a rip-off.
MS should include that as a standard built in feature.
Hopefully, with the increasing competition from ps3, MS will make that happen.

If you check the official figures on both Sony's and MS's investor websites, you will find the 360 still ahead by 6.6 million.
These are the official figures, not VGC, not fanboy estimates.
There is no way the ps3 will catch the 360 this year.
